ORANGE Carrera GT

Does anybody have any information on this CGT? I heard there was only one that came from the factory in this color. I think I also remember seeing a thread a while back with this car for sale with a huge asking price? Any info?

Not sure if it's the same one as this one had various decals on it. This is from Monaco GP 2007. It has German plates and as I recall there were two guys driving it around the circuit a few days before the race videotaping themselves.

It's a Carrera GT that was customized by TechArt, hence their logos on each side of the car. It's owned by a Belgian prince who's since had it converted into a Gemballa Mirage GT.

Is this the same car? It was spotted in Monterey, CA last year.

 

I believe it is the same car. From what I know only one cgt was done by techart. This one was indeed transformed into an orange mirage gt. It is owned by "prinz germany": Prinz Marcus von Anhalt ==> Royal Family

So was the Techart/now Gemballa CGT resprayed or did it come from the factory in that color? I just saw this CGT a couple days ago, it's a different CGT than the techart/now Gemballa one. The owner of the one I saw said it was the only CGT done in orange......

That might just be the one that was painted in arancio borealis(sp?).

 

Are you guys positive this TechArt is the only one, and was turned into a Gemballa? Because as exotic said, it's been seen in California a few times, and there's a video of it running around with VRAlexander's on YouTube that was added back in February.

 

This is a different CGT than the Techart/now Gemballa car. I heard only ONE CGT came from the factory in the color of the car in my video. So either that info is false, or one of these cars was resprayed, or they are both different shades of orange that came from the factory? I dont know, but the owner of the car in my video said it was the only CGT painted in that color. Anyone have any other info?

It must be. Notice the same sticker in the windsheild in both pics also. Lower right corner of windsheild.

I juste checked: the orange mirage gt/aka techart was previously grey. Therefore the orange one in Monterrey could be the only one that came out of the factory orange.

 

But prinz germany is often in the US and brings several cars with him. He could have been on a trip with Vralexander but not in Feb'.

That is the car...that came from the factory in that color, I remember a publication on DuPontRegistry where they were selling it, also on Ebay iirc

 

That's not really my point. Everyone says the TechArt (Orange w/ Grey) Carrera GT is now a Gemballa. But when was this transformation done? I'm asking because the TechArt CGT (again, the orange one with grey patches on it) is the one seen running around with VR's.

 

Jorge, your correct, I saw the ad in DuPont, and I remember reading a thread on it.

 

There is a car here locally in Ohio in that color.....the one that's been for sale for probably 2 years with a ridiculous asking price.

He claims it's the only one in A.B.

When was it seen with Vr's cgt? The transformation is about 6 months old, probably somewhere in january.
