All the other drivers should chip in to cover his sure-to-be-massive fine.

He was an arrogant idiot when in F1 and now he is in Nascar doing the same driving. I would love to see someone drop him at trackside one day.

You have no idea how much people HATE Kyle Busch in Nascar. It's scary. JPM is the man to them right now.

big time hate for Kyle Busch is right. In this game, Kyle deserved it and Juan had the balls to do it. Go JUAN!!, too bad JPM's car is crap.

I find it interesting that no one thought JPM was an arrogant idiot when he was cleaning house in CART.

I find it even more interesting that Kyle Busch is no longer an arrogant idiot now that he is winning in NASCAR.

Nonetheless, JPM got fed up and took matters into his own hands, which makes him more of an old school NASCAR driver than any of the "good ol' boys" out there now.

Last years news. Kyle's popularity has actually risen this year and JPM's populartity has actually fallen. Montoya's fell another few notches today.

Excuse my NASCAR ignorance, but why does everyone hate Kyle Busch so much?

I dunno man, I saw the replays. Looked like Busch was in the wrong. JPM had the cojones to pay him back and admit to it on TV. Nothing wrong with that in my book.

Says Harry to Kyle: "No, no, he didn't slam you, he didn't bump you, he didn't nudge you... he *rubbed* you. And rubbin, son, is racin'."

Best Tom Cruise movie ever? I think yes.

    JPM marches on.

NASCAR reminds me of pro wrestling. Whether you like JPM or not depends on your point of view.

I personally think he's a jerk and will never be a great driver until he masters his volitile emotions. He is getting older and not improving in this regard. He doesn't have much time left to turn it around IMVHO.

Why won't the teams with the best cars hire him? Maybe he has an attitude problem. ;)

JPM is just playing the NASCAR Circus! Nascar = Professional Wrestling Its a just for mindless entertainment, get real. If you want to see real racing just go to your Local dirt track or SCCA event.

You have to understand NASCAR to understand the fan reaction. Every driver that has been dominant goes through the crowd booing routine. Then after a few years, they become a favorite. Gordan, Stewart, were "hated", but not really.

NASCAR penalized Montoya for this incident, NOT Busch.

According to NASCAR's press release, in the replays it appears Busch was trying to go around Franchitti and bumped into Montoya. Montoya, already frustrated, took that as an intentional hit and then spun both of them out. Sort of a really stupid move by Montoya.

Busch has been the most winning driver in this 2008 championship, including a road course win in Sonoma. He is currently outdriving his teammate Tony Stewart. Busch comes off as arrogant, maybe he is, but this is one time that in NASCAR's eyes he was the victim.

Montoya is by no means "NASCAR's most popular driver", that title continues to belong to Dale Jr., Montoya is an ass and continues to drive like a mediocre midfield driver that he is. NASCAR hoped that Montoya would bring a Latin spectator base to the sport, but that has not happened to any great extent as of yet. They have been letting him get away with a lot of crap to the point many other driver's have been complaining. Not this time.

To think that this action brought him any fan adoration is silly. Along with the penalty, all this will get Montoya is a future "response" at a time he might be actually running well at some place like Bristol that will land him into the wall.

On the track, Busch has a lot more friends than Montoya.

Well stated. Kyle Busch is a super star in the making and most of his peers recognize this phenom. Even Tony Stewart paid Kyle the highest of compliments when he was with Hendrick. This while he was in the middle of a feud with his brother Kurt. It's been a long time since we have seen a guy drive on the verge of out of control, yet be under control. Montoya on the other hand...

Another piece of info - Kyle and his brother Kurt are both from Vegas. Two young guys. Everyone else is from the deep South.

Except for Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson, etc.

This isn't old day NASCAR anymore.

And Montoya's picked up a LOT of support on the NASCAR boards :)

Too add - Kyle Busch is on a mission to prove to Hendrick that they made the wrong decision in getting rid of him to make room for Dale Jr.

I think Hendrick proved that for him when they announced last week that Casey Mears is gone at the end of the season.

Surprised with all that talent he didn't just lie in wait for 'a racing incident' to present itself. Same result minus the fine, point loss, etc. A true master clips his antagonist, gets a warning from officials and maintains his position. JPM blew it on all counts.
Maybe he just had one waiting for Ambrose and couldn't contain it when Oz dnq'd......;)

The problem with that team is they have not been able to land a decent crew chief...and even with that handicap, Kyle was able to run up front. So Casey didn't have a chance with his mediocre talent.
