All the bs on this board is amazing. All the experts. All the experts who can't find their ass with both hands and two mirrors. So, uh..., let me ask you. Are you, ah, experienced? That is, have you ever owned a Ferrari? Have you ever in your own little world, ever bellied up to the bar and said, "Drinks are on me, pal." I remember, once, in an airport bar, laying a Benjamin down for a jarhead at the bar saying, "No man who has ever been in the trench should have to pay for his drinks." So, what about you? Have you ever... Well, I mean, have you ever taken a swan dive into the deep end of the pool? Or, are you one of those experts who know all there is to know without ever knowing? So, are you? Dale
You are a better man than me. I heard the Allman Bros on many an occasion. Say to say, but I turned down several opportunities to hear Stevie Ray. But, I never heard the man play live. Wish I had. Lord, I wish I had. Dale
It really was. The only thing that was quite as powerful was hearing Janis and Big Brother. That girl could make you feel the pain she was feeling...
I'm Hub McCann. I've fought in two World Wars and countless smaller ones on three continents. I led thousands of men into battle with everything from horses and swords to artillery and tanks. I've seen the headwaters of the Nile, and tribes of natives no white man had ever seen before. I've won and lost a dozen fortunes, KILLED MANY MEN and loved only one woman with a passion a FLEA like you could never begin to understand. That's who I am. NOW, GO HOME, BOY! What movie...? Your time starts now. Eric
Secondhand Lions, 2003. Robert Duvall as Hub. With Kyra Sedgwick and Haley Joel Osment. (but I'm no expert). .
Like I recently said in another thread-Experts become experts when people pay them to be experts. Every moray needs a shark, every maggot a fly. Jim, we really need the Fight Club Telaio sub-sub forum, yes? Both coasts, current and former players. Some need extended mirrors and perhaps need to pull head out first. Swan dives are for pu55ies. Real men don't look on the way down. I know more than I ever wanted, and less than I need. BB King x 4, SRV x 3, U2 Zoo 4 rows back with BA stews. What concert. You guys are old. But I would have liked to see JJ and JH. L
Don't bogart! FWIW, I've got LZ 1977 under my belt. Bonzo and Moonie on the same kit! FTW! Distant second: Cal Jam 1: Keith Emerson on the revolving Piano for AquaTarkus!
Be advised. I'm mean, nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I can put a round in a flea's ass at 500 meters. So why don't you go hump somebody else's leg, mutt face, before I push yours in. (movie?)
I grew up in San Francisco, during the 60s. Went to the "Filmore" quite a bit. Was there the night they threw Mick Jagger out for peeing on the wall..... Listened to a lot of Grace Slick (Airplane) at the Filmore. Art
