I know, I know, he's not going to be driving it in anger but, if any car could break the Ring record I think it very well could be this one. Yes I know about the BMW F1 car a few years ago but, let’s face it the GT-ONE's got about the same power and a h#ll of a lot more downforce.

Impdesigner I know you're out there and I figure this car gave you some cold sweats back at the Mulsanne on a certain night in 1999, what kind of time do you think it could do around the ring? :)

Cool car - my friend drove one at LeMans in 1999 - qualified 2nd - during the race, lead initially trading lead with BMW for ensuing 12 hours until co-driver Boutsen retired after an accident with backmarker. I've got a 1:18 of that particular car #2, stunning car. As I recall, Allan said he has the windscreen from the car.

I bet the BMW F1 has more power and more downforce however I believe it was purely promotional.

If I recall wasn't a helicopter flying over Heidfeld to keep tabs on him so he didn't go for it?

Yeah, Heidfeld's lap was a joke. He was on demonstration tires, such as the ones they use at the "Pit Lane Park" events.
