With each set of real pics that surface it looks more horrible.

I liked it a little more in these photos. Would like to see some shots in the wild in a colour other than red and with another wheel option.

In the dashboard shot it says FXY underneath the badge on the lefthand screen. Anyone know what this relates to (if anything)?

The more I see of it the more I like it. The interior looks like you could just melt into it. The high belt line probably insures little violent buffeting inside the car with the top down even at high speeds. I like how it's mid-engined so handling should be very crisp for a GT. The true test is seeing it in person.

Really dissapointed with this cars looks, front and back look awkward, wheels are by far the worst on any modern ferrari.

Is there any chance that Ferrari will see the error of their ways and go back to the 3-car range (430/599/612) in a few years?

"And although the photos Ferrari released to the world's press don't do the car justice, Editor-in-Chief Thos L. Bryant — who recently got a sneak peek at the car at the Ferrari factory — says the California "looks absolutely stunning in person."

Totally agree... Wow... Every time I see an angle that looks a little interesting it is an extreme close up... Zoom out and the car is a mess. and none of the details meld with each other. It looks like 20 different designs each worked on a small part of the car and then cobbled it individual parts together at the last moment.

There will be a market for this but this will go down as one of the worst designs. I really hope Ferrari gets back to some beauty with the follow on to the 430. They need to hit reset and start a new design language again...

I really hope Ferrari let the California production run for 4-5 years and then choose not to continue with a replacement and instead go back to just the 3 car range....not going to hold my breath though :(

Does it annoy anyone else that the name for one of Ferrari's most beautiful, rarest, limited edition cars is now being used on an ugly, mass-produced (by Ferrari's standards), shameless rip-off of a car which is only going into production in order to gain even more profits?

Actually, it will be when Hyundai copies it (like they do everything else).

Looks bangin from the rear 3/4 with the hardtop up, windows slightly cracked. And I really, really like the interior. Great dials, wheel, love the aluminum center console... Liking it more and more, little by little...

Thanks for posting this site. I agree these are the best pictures of the California. They give you a more 3-D idea of what actual car.
For those wanting to see the pictures, you have to click on Ferrari on the right side of the page in the manufacturors listing.
