WOW!!! No one has replaced the a-arm bushings??? These things don't last forever.....as a matter of fact if you have a 95,96, or 97 and have driven the car, you should be able to notice that the rubber has become brittle and cracking.

Since I want to do this myself, it appears that the difficult job is pressing them out. It looks as though some sort of tools are required.

If anyone has done this I would really appreciate some tips before I mess up something expensive...like I have done waaaaaay to many times before..lol

George. since no one has answered you I will give my thoughts. This is based on doing it on my 308s but they use the same style/type of flanbloc bushing. My 355 has solid teflon bushes so I can't go out to the garage and tell for sure but the 308 bushes had spot welds on each bushing so if the 355 does also you will have to cut/grind that weld spot and press out the old one. They aren't pressed in very tight I used my vice and some spacers to remove the old ones and did the opposite to put the new ones in and then use a wire feed welder(less heat) to just put a spot of weld on each. I had a bucket of water handy to dunk them in to remove the heat quickly, seems odd to get the rubber hot at all but that is what the factory did on my 308s. Hope that helps

Many thanks!! The 355's are not spot welded so atleast that part of the job is eliminated.

I'm wondering if a vice and some spacers will work....I'll give it a try and if not, guess I can rig something up and try it on the hydralic press if I can get it to open up enough to accept the a-arm in an upright position.
