Rain is looking likely for Saturday and Sunday . Should be an excellent race if it rains. http://live.autosport.com/commentary.php/id/24 "In summary, the general theme for the British Grand Prix weekend is a move to wet and gloomy weather on raceday - but Saturday may also be rain-affected, from a complicated weather system that is still developing out in the Atlantic. Autosport.com Live will monitor the situation over the coming days, and publish updates as and when further information is known."
they have been saying that it's gonna be a wet race since the start of the season. besides Monaco, it never rained.
yea, i espeically hate it when they put 'Rain expected in 5 mins' on the screen, get me all excited, and nothing happens.
Well, that certainly wouldn't be good for Truli in the Toyota. He's always done "well" in the rain except for this season. Sprinkle a little water on the track and it suddenly goes pear shaped for him.
I knew someone would bite And yes, he's good in the wet. The Massa bashers only seem to remember the very last part of the Nürburgring race even though he was holding his own in the first wet part. Everybody remember how he raced and beat Kubica in the wet in Japan? Unlike some I'm not a fan of the rain but I'm not concerned about both Ferrari drivers if it does rain.
Yep. Last to 5th in the '07 race. F1 mag I browsed in an airport recently, listed Massa as the driver with the highest total of passes for position during last years races.
I wouldn't really use that as a good example because a) Massa went off in that race countless times (as did Kimi and others) b) the run off areas in Fuji are covered in concrete, so you get away with a lot c) at the point of the Kubica battle, there was nothing to loose anymore However Massa has driven in the wet this season and not lost it, so I'd say his skills in the wet have dramatically improved. I have to concede to the Massa fans that Felipe is indeed getting better. Annoingly so .
Speed says 100% chance of rain Sunday. I'm sure somewhere on this planet they will be correct. Next year full slicks and no Traction control. If it starts durring a race we get to see the men separated from the boyz.
Don't get me all exited: French GP: Rain within the next 10 minutes. Yeah right. Normally I would jump on that and agree, but quite frankly I thought we'd see that this year already with no traction control and the grooved tires and it only really mattered in the first few races. By now the drivers adapted and the engine programming (?) probably did the rest. I'm sure if it rains next year, Bridgestone will have a good monsoon tire that will take care of it and the FIA will bring out the safety car to do endless parade laps. So quite frankly, if we haven't seen the separation from the boyz this year, I doubt next year will bring it.
Forgive me for bumping this thread..... I'am holding it back. What was it I missed!!!! again, Ron Wrong Wrong Wrongy McWrongerton .
We got the answer today. There is only one rainmaster and he's the one who nearly lapped the entire field today.
