Hello-Very happy w/ my 575 Ferrari but the exotic car feeling is just not there! Should I spend the xtra money on a 03/04 murci? or would I get more car for the $ w/ a Gallardo? Please I really have an itch for buying something now and want to make the right decision-which car is more reliable? resale value? most importantly driving excitement?

A Gallardo will not give you an "exotic feel". Way too pedestrian. The Murcie is closer, but you have to go Diablo or Countach to really get it.

Two very different cars. Gonna have to give us more info. What do you mean by exotic? Do you mean people staring at you? do you mean no power steering and poor visibility? do you mean discomfort? do you mean performance? I think both cars are exotic by definition. depends what you want to do with them. I'm assuming performance is not the motivator. A 575 has plenty of that. How about price? Are you willing to broaden your horizons or is it def g vs merci? The easy answer to your question is merci.

Driving the 575 is exciting however it does not have the heads turning looks of a lambo! Its looks are nice but a little conservative-I like lines of the Murci but not sure it is worth xtra dollars vs.the gallardo-I also want more power then the 575 and same reliability-Is there any year murci I should stay away from? also Gallardo?

The Murcie is worth every penny more than a Gallardo...I'm on my second Murcie now, and given that the pricing on the 03/04's is not that bad, I'd spend the extra all day long, no questions asked. The Gallardo is a great car, reliable, great looking and of course, gets attention. But nothing, and I do mean nothing, compares to the Murcie when you pull up and the doors go up. There is no mistaking that it's a Lambo. Both cars are very easy to drive and just a blast to own. The Murcie though...will just give you goose bumps every time you get behind the wheel.

I do have to agree with Bull Run's comments...if you want true "raw" exotic excitement, you have to go to the Diablo. Love my 6.0...something about that car when you get on it that just sounds angry. Murcie is very refined...hands down, I'd pick the Murcie.

If you need help finding one in your price range, I'd also be happy to help. Call anytime.

Currently owning a Gallardo, and having spent a fair amount of time in a Murcie I purchased from Kevin at Cats, they really are two different animals. The G is similar to the 360 in that it is small, fairly easy to see out of, very immiediate in its direction changes, and with the right exhaust, sounds better than a Murcie (I am sure that some will blast me for that one). The Murcie is like no other car I have ever driven, it is pretty big and takes some getting used to, you have to hustle it quite a bit more in the twistes, it is geared very tall, and it is very fast (although not as quick feeling as the G). In a perfect world, one would own both, but for frequent use I would go with a G, for the car that is used a few times a month and for the extreme exotic factor, the Murcie kills almost every other car on the street, for any amount of money.

Without a doubt, my ownership of the 6.0 was trully exotic!!.... and according to Kevin and Roy the USA numbers are very low mid 80's left here.

Murci. I had two Gallardo's and just to mundane. The Murci is easy to drive and the power is just insane! Plus 02-03's are priced real good right now

Diablo 6.0. Love them. Feel like monsters, where as the G is more tame.

That 40th anniversary is in very ood shape from what I have read about it. It was owned by an anal enthusiast who takes very good care of his cars. He sold it because he upgraded to a lp640 I beleive

Unless you mean the previous owner, then it is not an enthusiast, but a dealer offering that car. Steve's a good guy with good cars; I'm suprised by his low eBay rating...

Im talking about the previous owner not the dealership, I think he was a fellow from the New York area.

Also made a mistake as I wrote ood, which I meant to write good.

Is the color hurting this Murci? Why are the anniversary editions not liked by some? anyone know the history of this lambo? I am considering looking at it!

If you are over 6'0 buy a Murcie..the G's interior is not made for taller people....but it depends on how much time you are going to spend in the vehicle...

    +1..

I own one of the last SVs of 2000 and can say that the late Diablo is a better car than the Murcie. Its just as reliable, just as driveable and even more exotic whilst being quite a rare treat. There is not very much difference between these and the eariler Diablos besides the refined factor. That aside, it is still very easy to be reminded of the early Diablo days when driving a 6.0

If you want a Gallardo, coming from a 575, you might as well get an LP. Murcies are good but if you can find a solid 6.0 that would be the best choice. You can always try a murcie for years to come... The Diablos will become hard to get soon (atleast the 6.0s)

I'd say go with a Murcielago...although i'm not fond of the colour of the 40th ann. i don't know if other stuff came with it (extra goodies). For the exotic feeling, i'm sure the Murcielago will deliver...but if by exotic feeling you mean "go fast" then the Hefner TT Gallardo will walk a Murcielago. But other than that, i'd say go with the Murcielago.
