    Hi Guys,
Looking to get a private party '06 430 with 4k miles. Will have PPi done at an authorized dealer. Do I need the PPi with compression test or will the basic two hour PPi be sufficient?
FYi:The 430 is still under warranty for a few months. Thanks in advance for any advise!!!

I don't think you need a compression test unless the dealer finds a number of other things with the car meaning it was a hard 4000 miles. If everything looks good and the car is as it should be with only 4000 miles, I wouldn't spend the money....

Another viewpoint: think of the extra couple hundred bucks on the compression PPI as cheap insurance against a $200k investment.

If the car does have a problem, you’d probably find out about it the day after the warranty expires. ;-)

How much should one expect to pay for a PPI? And for a compresion test?

I've been quoted two hours vs five hours. Thanks for your comments!
