Nice, and who found the car in Switzerland ? It was no other than ME! The only thing not working were the fuel pumps, the car was running. I spotted the red colour in all inner fenders. You forgot the front lid... and they put in a (useless) radio and speaker now under the door sill leather. http://www.countach.ch/History/LP400/index.html The factory did only some cosmeticals, IMO this is right since a 35 year old car is allowed to have some patina, I don't like these overrestored cars at all, but each on his own.
yes red/black car he had thought about selling it and the car was advertised for sale for some time, ecc..... i had seen the car inside - out
Hello John! Thank you: hope you are well. I look forward to attending your event next winter (did not have time this year, I was too busy across the "intracoastal/moat"!), it would be great if you developped it from the classic side: very little is available event wise for vintage Lambos, Maseratis and etcetterins in the US outside of Monterey. Best regards, Marc
Hello Joe: Lol or worse they could have forced me to drink warm beer. It was definitely not Gachon. Gachon is was a dealer from the Lyon area who tried to establish himsellf in the US at one point. 8 Countaches must be some kind of record no? Best regards, Marc
Hello Emilio! Well at Count Miu what with all the cars and those Russian blondes I did not have enough brain capacity to recognize or greet too many owners;-) but I will definitely let you know when I come to Modena again: probably in the fall. I met Breviglieri several times and Orazio Salvioli too who has had a (not the same) shop for many years. I am leaving to Le Mans classic tomorrow and will try to photograph anything vintage with vertical doors. Best regards, Marc
Raymond S. and Joe S. thank you for the details and history about that red/Verde Medio Countach! Interesting way to make the public think more show cars exist; just paint the one car a different color... CH
blue interior? if so i think i know the owner! the silver spanish 5000S has now a proper 5000S wing ( that i found for it ) Image Unavailable, Please Login

Dear Joe, Asking your advice here: I always thought that the LP400 S with Bravo wheels was replaced first by the LP 500 S Same rear badges, Countach S only, 5 litri motori, fitted with later oval Campagnola wheels. And after that it was replaced by the 5000 S, with more updates, also in interior, correct? Best regards, Marcel
Yes, Holland is a very small country... But havn't spoken to him for a while, so it may have left Olanda in the mean time. I took these pictures in June 2005 at Zandvoort. Ciao! Nice Series 2, repainted as can be seen by the sill seams in silver (which are normally satin blackout) - dead giveaway that is. The lowbody stance of the S1 and S2 cars stops you dead in your tracks with a gasp...
A man by the name of Patrick Mimran got the first production LP500S chassis number 12470 (pictured) and as you can see it simply has a "5" below the "Countach" badge. All the other cars has "5000" badged. The typical interior upgrades (center console arrangement & vents, door panel pads etc) were right from the Mimran car onwards. Speaking of early cars, I think the Spanish car finished in 'Argento Luna/Bleu' we have been speaking of is 12478, the 4th car built, and is within the first handful of LP500S! Note it is even before Armin Johl's 12480 which is considered very early as the 5th car. Ive owned 2 LP500S, 12515 and 12562 from memory. Lovely cars... Image Unavailable, Please Login

Was this car officially delivered to Switzerland? Since Patrick lived at the lake of Geneva, or Lac leman resp. BTW 1121444 was silver too and FLA12860 (now yellow) and an interesting picture with Patrick, the only one where he is pictured with a car, note the different mirrors.
