You can count on it. However I'm not jumping on your bandwagon definition of "tifosi", which seems to be some brain dead Ferrari sycophant who accepts anything they do and anybody they put in their cars. Enzo himself was the biggest critic of his own team and his drivers. I see no reason why not following his example.
I disagree. You are trying to split hairs. If Massa finishes first, I can express an opinion that he out drove the entire field and was fantastic, based on fact. But, what if the top six qualifiers all had mechanical failures? Then is that really true? You are using the term Armchair expert as negative inference and you as much a part of that club as all of us by participating with your thoughts here.
Enzo only liked a couple of his drivers, he saw them as necessary evils and as for the cars , he wanted to change something in them everyday. btw franco doesn't fit the tifosi pigeon-hole as he has stated he won't accept FA in a Ferrari seat ..... buck up Franco or you'll be booted out of the tifosi I'm a Massa fan but he drove a wobbly race, a lot did ... not Hamilton, Kimi on full wets would have won by a mile but full credit to him for sticking with the "team" decision ... much respect to KR for accepting to be a part of the decision
I don´t like Raikkonen´s expressions and gestures, or should I say lack of. I still respect Raikkonen. What does that have to do with anything? I find this thread to be really ridiculous, but also constantly fed by Monday morning quarterbacks that do not really understand motorsports. Thankfully, mangement of F1 teams do not have such reactionary thinking. Otherwise, chaos would reign. Even Michael had bad days, breaking a leg wheh he lost control in the rain, letting Montoya do him in within the Monaco tunnel, etc. Many drivers lost it at Silverstone, most ended up in the kitty litter. Massa, always kept going. I believe Massa will do quite well this year. I even hope he wins the WDC.
+2 But we all know even if he DOES win WDC, this thread will be alive and well with those few Massa-Bashers who will claim that he just got "lucky" or something. It seems like with you people, every time Massa wins it's luck---and every time he doesn't do well it's all his fault and he's not worthy of the Prancing Horse badge.
Your sounding more like Ted every day........Did Ted have 2 user accounts? "sycophant"? Maybe thats why you found it so hard to boot him.
How about stating the cause of his problems with facts rather than just stating he cant drive in the rain. Jknight stated that chassis damage may have been a cause. Plenty of drivers had problems in the rain. His accident was possibly a factor. I dont consider myself an expert on this sport no matter how long Ive followed it. Massa had a bad day and the causes could be many but none of us have the facts. Reread my post. I support both drivers. They both can have problems and clearly have at times. You can state whatever you want here. Fire away.
Ted has pointed out that flaw in the logic many times. Or is it hypocrisy rather? Ron, your arrogance is shining through again. We all know nothing yadayadayada.
When doesn't it? The funny thing is, it seems like at least most of his predictions and "insight" turns out to be completely wrong.
err, ok. you don't like Kimi's expression or gestures? what does that have to do with anything? well, sir, it's the same as when you love Massa because you think he's 'charismatic', 'charming', he's the 'little engine that could', he's 'Shumassa', etc...whatever... all that even though Massa is really a step down from the log that Shumi pinches off while on the toilet... don't come here and say, 'what does anything have to do with anything...monday morning quarterbacks', etc, when you do it yourself repeatedly! you think Massa will do quite well? quite well, as he did last race? 'quite well' is relative. but yeah, he's in one of the few cars capable of winning a race, so he should do 'quite well'... whatever...
I like Ron and wish he would get off his high horse and admit that he - like everybody else here - is nothing more than a Monday morning quarterback. If there is anybody with insight into a F1 team, odds are they are not on Fchat or any other website. There is nothing wrong with being a Monday morning quarterback and test your arguments against others. Some have more experience etc than you and get it right. Or not. Doesn't matter. However don't come here and lambaste people for knowing nothing. Because it is simply not true. People do know stuff and a website is the perfect place for it. PS: I had a few "insights" and predictions blow up in my face. It is par for the course and I can live with it. I did get a few right, so there. PPS: Confession time: I was a strong believer in Jenson Button. Wrong. I thought Kimi would wipe the floor with Massa. Wrong again. He is not even doing it this season, which really annoys me, but such is reality.
I thought that Alonzo would wipe the floor with Hami last season-Wrong. I thought that Bourdais would show well this season-Wrong so far. I thought the Renault was a piece of crap and Alonzo would be lucky if he got one podium finish-Right so far. I thought that Massa would score more points than Alonzo this season-Right so far. I thought that Heidfeld would out point Kubica this season-Wrong so far. I thought that DC should hang 'em up and stop taking out innocent overtakers-Right
And Ted thought Massa would be fired, and wouldn't come close to winning 4 races. Speaking of Ted....oh where has he gone?
Oh come on, don't jump to conclusions. There could be thousands of reasons why he's not around. Maybe even as many as 10,000 reasons...
I thought the same as you regarding Kimi, the onething that I give Massa credit for is his times in qualifying, too bad his racecraft is average.
Yes he is a pretty good driver but he looked bad at silverstone driving around in circles with 100lbs of air pressure in his tires. The team can make him look good or bad. Massa had a crap car for the race and was screwed over by his pit crew in Q3 and couldnt make his final run.....Whats Kimis excuse?
He is not away anywhere. He is reading on here almost every day but will not post here untill he is assured of Massa not winning the 4th race. Does the word reneg come to mind? When Massa wins his 4th race this year you will see a new member on here who hates Massa and loves everything about the McCheater team.
