Couple of days ago, I placed an ad in FerrariAds.com to sell my 01 360 Spider. I tried to access the ad just now to modify it, and it has mysteriously been deleted. Can someone tell me what could have happened? I definitely did not remove the ad myself, and I don't think there was anything offensive about the ad.

You probably only ran the ad for a short period of time instead of letting the ad run till sold.

Oh, just noticed you only ran for a couple days, I don't remember how many days you can run it for, but I guess you are looking in the wrong place or it was removed somehow.

There's no archive for FerrariAds, so I can't check how you listed it but I think the guys are right. Default is 15 days, but the next choice beneath that is three days, that's probably what happened.

I know Rob doesn't delete ads, and I don't think as moderators we can. I'll go mess with one and let you know. :D

Upon further review, as a moderator I can change anything except when the ad expires, and I can't delete it.

I re-posted my ad. Still curious as to what caused it to disappear. I had selected 60 days for the length of the ad. Since I am silver subscribed, I thought I am permitted to post my ad. Is there any other fee that I am suppose to pay to place the ad in FerrariAds.com?

    Thanks

Nope, no payment other than being Subscribed, which you are. Good luck with the sale, but I agree with PAP, it is a sign. :D

same here. i had 9 seperate emails for old ads i had already marked as "sold". i think my current ad for my lotus esprit is still running. perhaps it was some sort of purge, and some of the current ads people placed were removed by mistake?

    Rob?

The ad system is not properly removing the old ones, so I went in and deleted all ads over 6-8 months or so. You would get an email for each ad deleted. However, I made a BIG mistake in the clearing and actually deleted the most recent 12 eight cylinder ads. I've already talked to a few of those users to repost. Sorry about that.

Ah, thanks for clarifying that. I had all mine removed 2 days ago and received an automated email for each being removed.

Thanks Rob for the info. Nevertheless, maybe its still a sign I should just keep it.
