(from autosport) Bruno Senna says he is not getting distracted by rumours linking him to a Formula One role next year - and finds the speculations more amusing than anything else. The Brazilian's success in GP2 this season has prompted talk that he could end up as either BMW test driver or a racer at Scuderia Toro Rosso. But writing in his regular blog for autosport.com, Senna has said his focus remains on GP2 for now - because he needs to prove to himself that he is ready to make the step up to F1. "There has been a lot of speculation in the press recently, especially in Brazil," wrote Senna. "It's quite funny in a way, because I've read that I've already signed for three teams! Great, I've got three contracts to choose from! "At this stage there is nothing definite with any F1 teams, and I think that maybe my good performances have led to people in the F1 paddock and the media paying attention to me, but I have to keep my mind focused clearly on GP2. "My real work is to be done on the circuit, where I have to be is consistent on the racetrack and win this GP2 Series. "Then I know I will be ready to move up to F1."
He's also close friends with Gerhard Berger, who's essentially his manager. I think we'll see him at STR next year. Vettel will move up to RBR, both Webber and Coulthard have said he'll be the one. So he can take Vettel's old seat, and they may or may not keep Bourdais for continuity sake.
Senna certainly has shown some flashes of brilliance. I did however, get sick of him shaking his fist at any driver who didn't just move over for him in Monaco. Just shut up and race, dude.
I miss the days when they spared the fist and used the finger It would be great to see the Senna name, but it's a situation almost guaranteed to disappoint. How could he come near Ayrton's ability? Maybe he'd get in a position to challenge for the championship, but most likely an everyday driver.
Yeah, Fernando does that too and I'm not fond of it....a bit different circumstance though. Bruno Senna hasn't started his F1 career in a Minardi, and still managed to work his way into multiple top rides, subsequently winning 2 world titles with them. As of now he's less accomplished than Bruno JUNQUERIA in an F1 car. Again, Bruno....just shut up and race, dude. Heh heh. Montoya still used the finger.... Heck, Massa used it in the last race.
