i bought the car this way today, it is at least a 3rd hand, the guy before bought already built with the transkit, as he is a cnc teacher he asked his students to cnc some small parts to ad details to the engine, that's all i know as i won't have time to get a closer look until next week....

the red car is for the IMSA transkit.i had bought one of these from brady when they were first issued for $625.00.i later sold it for to a guy in japan for $1000.00.the blue kit the le mans car and that one is still available.unless you have some serious modeling skills you may want to pass on this transkit.it is very intensive and detailed.

the kit shown on the f40 in the pics doesn't look like either of bradys kits.

Years ago, I had one of the 74045 kits commissioned. Insanely expensive build, but I had it done for the conference room table. The artist/modelbuilder did a superb job. It was a long, difficult process that required numerous modifications to the metal body. Certainly not something an unskilled builder should attempt. Anyway, I still have it, it still looks great, and it's still a conversation piece.

Just a couple of the build, which are similar to these, and none of the completed project. Guess I could take a few.

Can't remember all the kits and additional parts we had to purchase to complete the project. The base F40 and LM transkit are just the starting point. Brakes, engine detail, wheels, tires and on and on (ad infinitum, it seemed). The builder and I agreed not to go totally over the top, but it's a pretty extensive and detailed build.
