On a technical note, Mistrals came with an early Lucas fuel injection, I believe, that many folks removed and put on the previous Maserati 6 cylinder sidedraft Webers. I was curious if any one had any experience driving either, and does the retro-fit affect market value?

The injection on #1216 is still in place and works fine.

This is #1691, which I currently own. It is a 4.0 liter version, still with its Lucas fuel injection (late style dry type). It was painted an ugly "root beer" color; last year it returned to its original argento color. It has a hard top but the darn thing is so ugly that I did not bother restoring it.

Ivan do you know anything about Mistral #1018? It is a 4 litre from 1966. The car was bought in USA in 1988 i think, and was exported to Sweden its now owned by a friend. He has got many problems with the Lucas-system he sent the system to an expert in Netherlands. Now the cars is going fine.

    Best regards Magnus

Walter is the best person to ask about specific car numbers.

I have no problem with recreations as long as the owner does not try to pass them off as anything but a recreation. The car looks like it would be great fun to drive.

Attached is photo of 109.102... When I purchased the car back in
1997, it was titled as a 1969...The build info on the car has it as a
1964 and I believe this to be correct based on the 3.7 l engine,
5 switches on the dash, round center console with just the little
chrome ashtray... I think some Motor Vehicle Dept accidentally
typed 69 vs 64... But who knows...

Walter...Do you have any info on this one?

    Someday, it will be restored!
