The story of Rifledriver is quite sad. He is still active on another forum. I consider him a friend. Absolutely, he is one of the most knowledgeable posting Ferrari techs ever on Fchat. In a nutshell (and as diplomatically as I can say), he grew tired the atmosphere that surrounds many tech posts on Fchat.
Kinda hard to explain... But Daniel pretty much summed it up in his post. Brian certainly knows his sh*t! Such a shame he doesnt post here anymore. He may be back one, ya just never know.

Man Daniel you have to be the most diplomatic guy I know hahaha. Allow me to rephrase that answer: He got tired of all the f..ck wades and know it alls arguing with him when he was trying to answer a question. Sometimes he would call it like he sees it and some couldn't handle being slapped down for being stupid. We all get the chance to be stupid it was hard for some to be called on it.
I talk to him occasionally over at the other place..He is very active there...He is a GREAT resource for all things Ferrari!!!

Hey, I'm still around. I've been a little busy, at work, at home, and went on vacation. I've been landscaping the back yard and had to chop down ten trees, grind the stumps, and then dig up the remnants. I also put the Porsche (high maintenance) back on the road when premium gas hit $5. The Ferrari is running great, I try to drive it to church every Sunday, then brunch, then a quick run to the beach or up my favorite mountain road, Harris Grade. I log on and lurk pretty reugularly, but I've been also wrenching on the Vette a lot. I'm also a politician, running for reelection to my local community college board of trustees and helping on the Barack Obama campaign. OK, here come the flames. Just been a little busy. Brian and another great F-chatter hardly visit F-chat anymore and I can't say I don't blame them. Several posts from people who don't even own the cars would post information that is/was extremely inaccurate. And when the true experts (such as Brian) would try and explain a technical solution/reason others would challenge their knowledge to the point of ridiculing them. Mind boggling. For awhile there reading some of the posts, it almost seem like owning a Toyota was more expensive than owning a Ferrari, kind of a joke but you get the point. Yeah, we've lost some knowledgeable folks and its too bad for all of us.
