Anyone having issues with their phones? I upgraded from my older BB a couple months ago (got it free from a client) and I have to say I haven't been swept off my feet the way so many other Blackberry owners have. This one recently started acting glitchy, freezing up, changing formatting on me. I don't have much on there other than my phone book and 6 or 7 photos of my son. Is this normal?

We switched over at work from Palm Treos to Blackberry. I am NOT impressed so far. Maybe I am just used to the Treo, I've had them for years.

a software update on my BB Pearl fixed a lot of the glitches you described: maybe the same thing? It was a PITA to figure out how to do it though.

what software are you running? 4.2.2 or the 4.5.1?

You can free up a lot of memory b deleting call logs, the videos and language packets. If you need to get a walk through on it, PM me your number and ill help out.

I love mine, and haven't had a problem. I'd look into a software update.

I just got a curve a few weeks ago. So far I'm loving it, but sometimes when I try to get on the internet it freezes up. I'm still learning how to use it though. I had a RAZR before, which totally sucked, so I have no comparison to anything more similar. I didn't know when I bought it I'd have to get a separate video card to record video.

Thanks again for your help! Hopefully things will be work well from here. Fortunately I successfully backed up my address book at work yesterday morning. I lost a few pictures doing the wipe, but nothing else!

a little trick for everyone with a blackberry.
To reset the phone you dont have to pull the battery:

    The right ALT
    right Shift button (aA button)
    and then DEL

you have to do it in that order and hold all buttons.

i had the pearl, hated it only on the basis that it didn't have a full keyboard, i HATED the double tapping, don't understate the HATED part, :)
i switched to 2 smart phones that operate on a windows based system, including my current phone, and nothing compares to blackberry's operating system, it's just simply so much better than the windows one, nowhere near as many crashes and much quicker, imo. i am currently looking to trade to a curve, but i think people realize they're getting the crappy end of the stick taking my dash, :)
