"At the time, I was completely disillusioned. After everything I'd done with the team, and for the team, I didn't think I should have been treated like that. But at the end of the day, you know, Ron was trying to push his company to the front, and of course I can understand that a little."

"What happened in Japan in '90 is something I will never forget, because it wasn't only Ayrton who was involved. Some of the people at McLaren, a lot of officials - and a lot of media - agreed with what he'd done (intentionally run his McLaren into the rear of Prost's Ferrari at 150 MPH), and that I couldn't accept. Honestly I almost retired after that race."

I found these quotes by Prost to be interesting, as if history at McLaren repeats itself.

Interesting article and insight into Senna's personality. Thanks for the thread!!

I wish they asked him about his firing from Ferrari. I wonder if he felt any better treated by them? Or Renault in 1982 when he thought the team cost him the WDC. Or Williams after the 1993 season when Senna was signed. Prost has always been a whiny little Frenchman.

By the way, that quote could easily have been made by Damon Hill in 1996.

Nearly all racing driver are whiny. You can't say prost was any more whiny than Senna.

Prost is famous for being whiny. Senna isnt.

Ted, I would imagine they did not bring up Ferrari or Williams because the interview was about Prost with Senna, primarily at McLaren. Fact is Ron Dennis and/or his senior management, has/have a history of demonstrating his/their ability to mismanage drivers. Amongst other things.

It also appears that Ferrari will duplicate that situation with Prost either this year or in 2009. Another reason to step away for a while.

I have many friends that are French. From France. I am sure you meant to say winey, not whiney. They have wonderful wines in France, if it ain't Italian, go with the French stuff.

Besides, Prost is absolutely one of the best. Not emtionally "uncomfortable" like Senna or Gilles Villenueve.

Jim, Senna never whined about his team to the media. Alonso reminds me a lot of Prost.
