How does that prove it's mine? But I like your reasoning because if by photographing my reflection on a car that proves I own it, I would 'own' a silver Rolls Royce Phantom in Dubai plus countless exotics here!

So, when will I next get a chance to photograph your 355CH? :p

as close to priceless as is humanly possible? :p

nice work, is that the MkIV? shape before the current shape is my fav.

heaps of 'tuner' stuff available for the golfs out of europe/US so plenty of scope for a bit of personalisation.

    # 24 - that was on Allan Michael's 308 QV back in the 1980's. Not sure if he still has the plate these days.

    # 1 has been with Peter Bartells for many years. Supposedly knocked back $2 million for it a while back. What is it worth? Who knows, as it is hard to buy something from someone who doesn't want to sell and doesn't need the money.

    Fair enough. :):)

I thought what its "worth" and what someone is willing to pay are two different things. :D:D
It HAS to be worth something?? Right??:eek:

My house is "worth" $400K. But I can ask $2 million if I want. Doesnt mean I will get $2 million for it. :):)

His plate is probably "worth" $2 mill. But he probably would want $20 mill if he were to EVER sell it?? But obviously not.....:):)

Will be worth nothing soon. :)

    No petrol, no cars. lol

And all the electric cars will use barcodes. :D:D

These guys are all sitting on a loss. OK I 'm just having a lend but you never know in this world. I reckon it won't be too long before the Taxi numbers plates crash too. Deregulate IMO and save the comsumer money. They all cry poor. Its 40 mins from my house to the airport and $105. Yeah its tough. :)

As I say in the future will they use standard number plates???

I really see something like barcodes being used. The reading technology is a hell of a lot cheaper than what they are using now. A lot more benefits particularly with compliance. And the more we have big brother the they are going to want check things easily. For example the one barcode could cover the car, the rego, the driver etc. All with one read.

I personally wouldn't be spending $100's of thousands on a number plate. But thats my opinion of course as much as I would love to buy plate #27 as mentioned on numerous occassions.

Edit. Its like PP and his Hybrid cars or electric. We all want Petrol cars but one day they won't be here.

Probably will..........but as I said, spend a $1 mill now, make $10 mill in 20 years time, etc. :D:D

Collector status like they are now. :D:D

I saw all except [260] around Chapel St/Sth Yarra too! I hadn't realised the Merc was in fact a '65, I would have had a closer look otherwise...
