Hi. My name is Steve, and, well, I've liked the California since the first photos were released...well, maybe just a couple of days afterward...but I really like it...I really do. I think if Al Gore was in my camp, he could convince the entire world that it should love the California. He would scoff at the doubters and would point-out through mind-boggling statistics that the California is the future of Ferrari and of mankind's vision of the perfect car. You California haters need to have faith in HOPE...in CHANGE!!! The California represents those ideals!!! California lovers unite!!!

Hey, it works for those guys, why not for me :)

Seriously...I really do think the California is a nice machine, and not ugly like so many seem to think. Now, I seem to find myself laughing at many (not all) of the comments posted by those who dislike it, simply because it's clear to me (or perhaps I would be more correct to say that I heavily suspect) that many of those posting "opinions" are clearly following the lead of others, simply joining the bandwagon of naysayers and not being open to what I think will be a stellar success! Now, step-up-to-the-plate you California lovers (no Ferrari Kool-Aid drinkers, please) and show your support for the new prancing horse!!!

Bullfighter: I love your sense of humor! That made me laugh.

But, sorry, I do like the California. I'm in ... at least until I get a chance to see one in person.

I actually like it, I think it needs to be seen in person.

It does however need better wheels.

Slap some 355 wheels on it and it might work...but yeah, wait till you see it in person. Only then would you be able to see it in a different perspective...so far, I hate it but love it.

I think it's a fantastic design. Initially I didn't like it, but after seeing the "real world" photographs I've grown to really like it a lot! Count me in.

I also think we should start collecting dues after the 5th person joins. (Might get me closer to a F car).

i like it too. i made a post similar to that in another thread. not everyone is going to love it, but its trendy to hate on the cali right now. whatever, i think its pretty cool looking, and would like to reserve judgement until i see one in person

Three quotes from people who have actually seen it in person:

    http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=10&article_id=6914:
"Editor-in-Chief Thos L. Bryant — who recently got a sneak peek at the car at the Ferrari factory — says the California "looks absolutely stunning in person."

    http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=128649:
"This is a gorgeous car. With Pininfarina bodywork created under the direction of Donato Coco, Ferrari's new design chief, the California is a real stunner, particularly with the roof up."

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137853432&postcount=5:
    "I simply love it."

    One good thing though, . . . .

    There should be plenty available
at dealers and most people should
be able to get one under MSRP !

See, . . there is always an up side to these situations.

Not from what my dealer's list shows. He already has a long list... and the car hasn't even been "officially" unveiled yet!

I'll have some of that koolaid. I think the car looks great. Love the folding hard top. Good car for those without track pretensions.

I was just saying that if
    people didn't like it that
    there would be alot on
    the dealer floors to be
    "for sale".

    Just remember that Ferrari
is slated to build 4000 California's
    alone (each year). In approximately
3 years that would be around 12,000
    California's. That doesn't count the
other models. With about 10,000 Ferrari's
produced a year, that would be 30,000
Ferrari's in the next 3 years.

THAT is ALOT of Ferrari's in a short period of time.

    Just a thought.

I would love to get my hands on one! I would use this ferrari to replace my M.B. SL as the daily driver in a hart beat. I would wear it out. At last, they may have built one to enjoy everday like maserati did.

Are you sure about that? Take a look at this Pshop I did with Novitec wheels. The lines on this car are beautiful.

The haters of this car are going to eat a lot of crow when it hits the streets.

Everything, and I mean everything I'm hearing about this car is that the pictures don't do it justice. I point to the first 599 pics, we all stared and said... I think I like it, or perhaps we felt that we were obligated to lust after it.... well, looking back the pics really left something to be desired, but see the car in person, and wow.... Apply the same thinking to the California that looks pretty damn good in pictures and I think we may be looking at the spiritual design successor of the Dino.

Ferrari/Pininfarina comes out with a very flowing and beautiful, feminine, voluptuous rear'd new sports car, evocative of Ferraris of yesteryear... but in a new idiom... and ..... people hate it?!
