At least they marked each car "288 GTO" discreetly on the steering column along with the chassis number. The GTO tells us what Ferrari's hopes for the car were...

April 1996 sold by Car Men through dealer, Uwe Meissner, of Modena Motorsport GmbH in Langenfeld, Germany, and broker, Steven Perry, of Hockenheim, Germany, to German F1 world champion, Michael Schumacher.
