    Thanks to our friends over at European Touch in Huntington Bch for their hospitality! Went to check out this Supercar yesterday and with close to 800hp and approx 2500 lbs, this beast will be tearing up the US roads very soon! As of now, this is the ONLY Gumpert Apollo Sport in the states. If anyone has some time, stop by and visit the dealer as the car is sitting in the showroom.

    In-car and on-road video will be happening very soon...stay tuned.

    Yes, they are the US distributor.

    Not sure about Monterey...but I hear it may show this Saturday at Cars and Coffee! ;)

    Very cool, I just told Duane about it on Sunday. Got an ivite to the party they had for it. But was busy that day. If it does show up at C&C that should be a treat.

    I had the awesome pleasure of piloting one early last year in Lucerne. The fuel pump gave me a horrible headache, but that was remedied by the enormous joy of everything else. This car just does not belong on the road, it is an uncivilised track monster!

    The Gumpert has absolutely no give in fot and finish for the driver compared to the Koenigseggmcmuffin (with cheese). I have not driven a CCX but right away you can tell one is a road car, one is a track car.

    The exhaust pipes are funky. I do think the exterior has something menacing about it... but I stick to my opinion on the interior. It's blah. Perhaps it's the color choice, or the super huge emblem on the back of the seats...

    I wonder which is which if they weigh the same and have similar hp. The Koenigsegg seemed civilized, but brutal at the same time. The cockpit was pretty large and relatively comfortable, but the car was a jackhammer to drive. Tons of power ready to rip you apart. The Gumpert seems like it might be even stiffer and louder, but the driving dynamics might be almost the same. Maybe the Gumpert would feel more like a Saleen S7 though, which was described as a Le Mans car with plates by someone on this board. Anyone who has an S7 tt, CCX, Apollo, MC12, Enzo, Zonda, Veyron, Ascari, Carrera GT, SLR, Mosler etc. and wants to compare them, btw, I would be happy to work something out.
