258' Royal Denship Princess Mariana. She is the largest yacht to enter MDR, surpassing the Attessa, Ronin and Tamsen. 50,000 gallons to fill her. She burns 900 gallons per day, just to run the generators! The owner and some kids were enjoying a swim up on the top deck. The array at the top transponds with his own personal satellite. The Sea Ray abeam is 38' long (for scale). The last one is the kid on the top deck swimming. 92MM valuation.

A notable beneficiary of the telecom bubble, Peralta's wealth stems mainly from the $973 million in cash Vodafone gave him in 2001 for his stake in the Mexican cell phone network Iusacell. He's since invested some of that cash in a luxury real estate development in Mexico City and a hydroponic tomato-growing venture. Peralta's recently been in the news stateside because of his reported interest in bidding for the World Series-winning Anaheim Angels, put on the block by Disney. Peralta already owns a successful Mexican baseball team, the Puebla Tigres.

Hey BRUCE.... The launch might be what you're looking for. Should I go back over there and tap the dude on the shoulder and see if he'll sell it? :)

At cruising speed (17 knots), it has a range of 7K nautical miles on a fill-up.

Expense would be way greater than that. Figure cost of operation (crew, food, fees to go through the Panama Canal etc. etc.).

Any guesses what the total would be??

Not when you are the heir to a Telecommunications conglomerate.

As far as $180,000 to top the tanks...how are you guys figuring?

55,000 gallons times whatever diesel is selling for at the dock...it's like $4.69 on the streets...is gonna put you into the quarter million dollar per fill up. Where do you even find a dock that is capable of selling you 50,000 gallons at once?

Good point, I should have connected the dots on that one myself.
Gas is cheaper in Mexico is my guess.
