It'll be an impressive auction, that's for sure. Very curious to see what kind of prices it'll attract.

Interesting to see what the 365GTS goes for compared to the one at the Bonhams Monaco auction in May.

If you are looking for a 275gtb 4 cam the yellow one at RM is the one to buy. David Carte restoration. The red one offered by RM describes it as very original but to me something does not look quite right with the nose from the photo. The bottom is too flat. Roger: Do you know what happeded to 8011? You had asked about it in a while back and it is gone from Autosport Designs website.

I don't know what happened to 8011. I have also considered 10263, offered by Alex Urban. Are you familiar with that car?

I just looked at the photos and it looks pretty nice. But they all do in photos. It will be interesting to see what the auctions bring this year for 275's..

Jakob, I watched 0670 roll at RM a couple of years ago for 2.2+. In that auction, it was sold with a spare motor; is that still with the car as part of this auction?

So...you have a medical emergency for which you need the money the car is worth? You looked and talked about the search for years for this car, you found a car you felt was perfect two/three years ago, you end up rebuilding the motor, you "can't say enough good things about it" and the value goes up and you sell it. Is this a need to have had a Ferrari but not really own one? Sorry to ask but if you like the car that much it couldn't be that onerous to keep, or could it? Best, Yale

I gave up my search for an inexpensive one long ago - good cars are mid-range Daytona Spider money.

    Yale,

In the end a majority of owners have finite resources. When the cycle ends and a reality check comes into the picture, we have what we're seeing now, many people trying to dump cars because they saw them as investments. There will always be owners who buy cars for love, but in the Ferrari and similar markets, many business people came into the game to make money. Not saying that's the case here, it could be medical or other, just saying that's what I'm seeing out there now.

Just to clarify (and my apologies for this thread having gone off track), as many here know, I did NOT buy the car with investment in mind. My intention was to keep this car forever and - believe me - I would do just that if I could. Unfortunately, life is full of unexpected turns (and downturns).

Even if I find myself back in the market at a later date, it will be almost impossible to find a car with such a balance of condition, originality and mechanical soundness.
