I need the Rubber Seal in the rear of the passenger door as shown in the picture. I cannot find this in the parts list. Possibly sold as a whole piece? It looks to be different than a NON Spider. As you can see mine is cracked and it needs replaced. It folds over when the window is closed not allowing for total closure. Please help.

Pretty simple piece to remove....the bigger job is properly (and neatly) gluing the rubber piece into the metal part. Mine have repeatedly come loose. I have been using a contact adhesive, but will probably try Gorilla glue next time. Warning, the flat black paint used on interior portion of the metal is very easily melted by various glues, which will act like a solvent on it. The exterior gloss paint is quite durable. I had to refinish the inside of one I was gluing once.

$286 for a molded piece of rubber....that is insanity.

    The price is total insanity......

So you are telling me I DO NOT have to remove the door panel to replace this. Just remove, prep and insert...Is that correct? I really appreciate your response.

Yes, I have removed mine without taking off the interior door panel. You simply remove the metric hex head (Allen) screws. There are two or three of them. You have to rock it gently and pull it up...same to return it to position. Again, you must be very careful when gluing the new rubber in place.

The actual rubber piece has a metal piece incorporated into the rubber seal.....remove the phillips screws holding it in place. The new one is simple to install...just secure with screws...juat a little weatherstrip adhesive and you are good to go...easy job.

George, what year and type 355 do you have? My 97 spider does not have any sort of screw or metal attachment point.

Wait, I understand now, you are speaking of the metal peice the rubber seal is glued to! Got it. Yes, it is attached to the door with metric Allen headed screws on the 97 F355 spider.

NO.......I'm talking about the rubber weatherstripping. It has a metal piece bonded to the rubber and it attaches(2 or 3 tiny tiny phillips head stubby screws) to the cast piece that is bolted to the door. You will find the screws on the inside channel of the weatherstrip that the window slides in......from the outside of the cast piece that bolts to door you cannot see any signs of these little screws.
