348/1995 F355 (Motronic 2.7) Setting the Throttle Position Sensors without factory tool SD-1

So I am reading the manual, see page 163 here:

    http://www.ricambiamerica.com/wsm/355vol1/355WSM_1index.htm

You need either a factory Ferrari tool, the SD-1 scanner or it seems like a factory breakout box for each ecu to measure voltage between pin 53 and pin 19.

Do you think there is a way to source two appropriate female connectors and two male connectors, to make a breakout harness from each TPS where the voltage can be measured directly without special tools?

I think this would be very useful.

Any idea where to source the three terminal connectors, and secondly how to trace 53 and 19 (I will be working on the wiring part)

    UPDATE:

I went and adjusted the tps. I type this as I wait for the engine to cool down for the "ecu reset".

Good News: The car runs better, idles much better.

History: Last weekend, I decided to use a manifold vacuum guage to set the throttle plates, after finding a loose adjustment screw that had backed out. This was easy, and worked great but the idle was never quite right. The tip-in off of throttle was fantastic now (you know what I mean if you have a 355)

But the idle was never quite right. So with a little research in the work shop manual, I decided I needed to tweak the tps.

    How I did it:

Borrowed two little sewing pins from my wife. Pulled the rubber booties down from each tps and then put the straight pin through the far left wire on each. Measuring between this pin and a good ground, I measured millivolts with the key on. Left 536, right 498. Both within the factory spec of being within 100mv of each other.

I decided to adjust one tps anyway, and I only chose to move the left bank down to 498 because the screws are easier to reach. Well, I was pleasantly surprised that I had to twist it quite a bit to get the 536 down to 498. This means I was going to make a difference, for better or for worse, something was going to happen.

    Result:

Idles much better from the git-go. It used to have a lope at idle, and now it doesnt. A very big difference for an investment of 1/2 hour, including helping wife measure curtains (You don't think I can just barge in and borrow sewing supplies, do you?)

    Nice.

Thanks for the info, and I like the sewing pin trick - Stooge Style. :D

How did you set the throttle plate with a vacuum gauge? There are 8 throttle plates with 8 linkage screws to set and 8 vacuum ports to read and balance, you actually need a manometer with 4 or 8 tubes to do this accurately.

I disagree, and I created a real simple method that I will share when I get a chance.
