This is why I don't like mainstream media covering racing....

Hamilton and Obama, seperated at birth! Or maybe father and son?

 

Wasn't a bad article. A bit much on the fluff, but it was moderately good.

 

It's always interesting to get a different point of view, in this case from a non-racing person who spent a bit of time around F1 and McLaren/the Hamiltons.

 

Cathy Horyn knows how to write. she has been around a long time. She did her homework for the article, well written.

 

+1...I don't think it was particularly fawning over LH. It was pretty informative, especially since we have to assume it was written for the casual or non-F1 fan. Like it or not, this guy is the big story in F1 currently.

 

Fitting, Hamilton is fashion: The flavor of the day.

 

Shameless hagiography, of a kind not seen in F1 since the Williams days of Jacques Villeneuve.

 

It is perhaps a little bit too early to canonise him.

 

It was alright for a journalist not normally covering F1.

However, like many of today's NY Times articles, there were some pretty noticeable grammatical errors and inconsistencies in there, and like someone else, said it was filled with the fluff with which non-F1 journalists always fill articles about F1.

I thought it was pretty good. It'll help raise F1's profile among the target demographic here in North America (and I didn't say the US! Just for you, my cheeseburger eating friend )

As a non Obama fan I hate the comparison between the 2. Unlike Obama, Hamilton actually has a lot to offer!

 

The New York Times is good for one thing only, and that is to line a litter box with....cats love to sh*t on it.....

 

Besides being able to drive a car extremely fast, what else does he have to offer?
