Im pretty hands-on in the USA and have casually noted the cars the past 10 years but in the last 5 years Ive taken careful notes. But overall internationally, Im sure my records are nowhere near as detailed as yours!
Speaking of a register, any idea which one is this one currently for sale at MMC in Paris ? Joe, your register is a very good idea indeed. I'll help you on what I can, mainly french and some british 288 GTOs. Olivier
Thanks very much Olivier. In the USA I am in touch with the owners of some 20-odd cars. BTW, regarding MMC's car, just ask Michel and Im sure he will tell you. As they say, if you don't ask....
If this has been asked and anwered elewhere I apologize. Does anyone know if EE. 074. AK is still in the Connecticut area?

I heard that Marshall Goldman Motor sales is getting one with 4,000 original miles on it next week, they also had a prestine example there about 4 months ago that I saw and it was gorgeous.
On the 16th of June 1997 the UK government agency Vehicle & Operator Services Agency issued a recall for the 288 GTO stating: "The seat belt mountings may detach from the rear bulkhead in an accident situation" It went on to list its suggested remedial action: "The affected vehicles are being recalled for the fitmentof reinforcing plates at the belt mounting points on the rear bulkhead" Obviously, somebody had a serious accident in a 288 GTO at it resulted in the above recall. What I found interesting was that the agency noted that at the time there were "54" examples registered in the UK. Thats roughly 20% of all 288 GTO production!!
Chassis number 54247 is the 98th 288 GTO built with AC, PW and all-black (VM8500) interior. David M owns it... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

53757 the 61st car built, gearbox number 34, AC delete, manual windows, all-black (VM8500) interior. Thanks Paul.
Joe, do you have any information regarding the number of GTO in the UK? How many in the US? Also, I note that the one at the top of the page was sold with AC and PW. (Is that power windows? Personally, power windows I'd rather do without. Anyone else have strong opinions on this matter, one way or the other? AC is really nice, though!) ~B.
