I am trying to put my 355 on my 2 post lift. I have some constraints due to the post width and arm lengths. Below is the best picture I have seen about the lift points. I have my front arms set at the most forward 2 yellow arrows. I cannot get the rear arms to stretch to the furthest rear points shown by the yellow arrows. I can get them to the edges of the engine subframe cross bar, indicated here by pink circles. I can also get them to the side chassis rails that are indicated by the green circles, though I will probably have to take the diffusers off.

I would love to get the car up on the lift, but I am not interested in bending anything. Any tips? Thanks!

I would send a PM to 2NA. He has had my 355 up on his 2 post lift several times.
If I recall correctly, he used the 4 points behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels.

I like to use the front points and the pink circles. Problem is I have to take of the rear wheels to do it.

I put it on backwards with the long arm to the front so I can open the doors.

It has to be inch perfect and is a real PIA to do

I jack it up and use wheel dollies to position it perfectly.

My hoist is a Nusbaum two post asymmetrical

    Hope this helps

Your front yellow arrows are fine but never use the back arrows area its too far forward. I have used your pink circle area but there is spot behind and inside of your rear yellow arrows that works well also it's right where the sub frame bolts to the chassis.

Getting these cars up and stable takes some practice and a patient approach.

I use the red circle areas in the front (a little farther forward than the poorly designed jacking points) this is frequently a good strong area on many tube-framed cars. The pink circles in the rear are a good spot that permits access to much of the underside and will allow you to remove the underpanels. I have an assortment of small wood blocks to carefully shim the lift pads for proper clearances.

Thanks. It's now high in the air, no issues. Though I could get to the red circles, with the blocks I have, the front factory jack points are very easy to use. They would be a pain without blocks. The pink circle spot works great. Thanks for the help!

Unfortunately, my oil leak is not coming from the drain plug as I had hoped, but looks like it is coming from a line fitting or possibly higher :( Not something I think I want to attack, so off we go to Sport Auto.

Yeah, I have a similar oil hose leak. Very slight(2 or 3 drips) so I'm waiting until after the driving season when I do the engine out servicing. Glad Tims pointers helped you out.

We rack the 355's backwards on a 2 post lift and we use the 4 Ferrari lift points. This may help..

THIS IS THE BEST COMBO OF LIFTING POINTS FOR 355. USE WOOD BLOCKS (2 INCH SQUARE 2X4) ON REAR PADS RIGHT BELOW HOLES IN CHASSIS, PAY ATTENTION TO THE BRAKE LINE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND FLOOR PANEL ON BOTH SIDES. THIS IS THE REAR MOST SAFE LIFTING POINT OF THE MAIN CHASSIS. DO NOT USE BLOCKS ON FRONT ARMS TO GIVE CAR CENTER OF GRAVITY ALITTLE FORWARD BIAS.---KENT

I use the two forward points and the Purple ones with wood blocks - Have for 12 years No problems - Keeps the tires round and the springs at proper ride height.

My shop puts 150 pounds of lead in the front to stabilize the car on the 2-post lift.

Fantastic photos! Much better light than mine. You can see his rear lift point is exactly the same as mine. For the front, he used the front jack point (nothing wrong with that).

I prefer the area shown with the green circle.
