This one was for sale about a 2yrs ago. Love the color. IIRC, it's a Euro car... Minor rust around the gas door is now 2yrs older too.. So....... How long does it take before a minor repair becomes a major repair? And if it's so minor, why hasn't someone taken the "minor" effort to fix it and stop the bleeding, before it gets worse? Hmmmm...... Still... It's a very nice color. These pictures don't do it justice IMO....
As you know, minor rust here can usually mean major rust elsewhere. The trunk is the first place I'd look. Love that blue also If anyone is seriously interested in this car I can have a first look, just send me a PM. I live nearby and as an ex Mondial owner/wrencher wouldn't mind looking at another.
I don't think I've seen such an abused Mondial. Looks like a money pit, even for the DIYer. http://cgi.ebay.com/Ferrari-Mondial-Mondial-3-2-1986-Euro-Ferrari-Mondial-3-2-CAPRISTO-NO-RESERVE_W0QQitemZ270222063572QQihZ017QQcategoryZ157045QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
It had a winning bid of $13,772.00 but it's back on eBay (same seller) with a $16K "Buy it now". http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=270238385745&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAIC&ih=017
So sad. I am told in England in the 70s and early 80s many Dinos languished exactly this way due to poor maintenance and many just went away. While the Mondial may never surge to Dino prices, I think over the next several years we will see Mondials become few and far between and good hold a more reasonable value.
"Never tried AC" in Phoenix? Ya right -- that's busted too. If I had a spot I'd probably make some low-ball offer on it. The 3.2 coupe is a good looking car, especially in dark colors.
It'll probably end up as another parts car, starting with it's Capristo Exhaust Image Unavailable, Please Login
Just listed my '87 GTS on Ferrariads.com. I think it's pretty reasonably priced. http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showproduct.php?product=1338&cat=2
LOL. No, just a slight shift in priorities. This will just be temporary of course. I do plan on getting that blue car back someday.

I decided to keep the car for now. My wife, who knows me better than I know myself, told me not to sell the car. I think I've got a keeper.
I saw that car yesterday and this morning here in West Chester. It a shame because if you removed the ghastly seat covers and the numerous stickers/emblems/etc that don't belong, you'd have a somewhat decent looking car. I'm not crazy about the bumpers being painted but I love yellow/black on 80's Ferraris.
The wife, of course! I'm selling the car so that I can put myself in position to make a move on another one in the (hopefully) not too distant future. It's all part of the master plan.
So, like an idiot I listed my car on Craigslist.com today. I guess it was only a matter of time before I got one of these... Dear Seller, How you doing? I saw the description of your item on craigslist.com and i see it really match and meet the demand of my client and am interested in immediate purchase of the item ...My client will be willing to pay you with check and the check will include my commission as an agent because that is what i do for liven ...I do come online to buy goods for my client and also I am the risk bearer of the item in case anything happen to the item , I will be the one to responsible for it damage or lost. I also arrange for the shipment and all the necessary documentations on the item as well, that is the reason why my commission will be included with the check because it is the money on check that I will use to prepare all the necessary arrangement on the item and if you know you can arrange for the proper shipment as well , all is okay by me ..I will need your full name and contact address for the payment to be send out fast and let me know if you will be able to send my commission on the check back to me the day you receive the payment so that i can start the necessary arrangement on the item? I await your reply today. Do these bastards really do this all day long?
I had a buyer a few months ago and then decided to keep it. Now I am selling again (previous buyer bought another car) and I have a few prospects. I don't think I'm pricing it unreasonably, considering the work that has been done over the past year and a half. We'll see.
Seems like this one hasn't been mentioned yet. Barely know how to turn computer on so cannot link. However, ebay item # is 110276100483. Looks like no reserve? Obviously needs some work- but if gotten cheap enough as a driver? Lots of suspicion due to "wet" photos. Anyone nearby that can give a look for me?
Here's the link and a picture... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm37%26satitle%3D110276100483%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1&item=110276100483 Image Unavailable, Please Login
