Noticing a few posts which mention "AE" in derogatory terms lately. :(
Not guilty sir/cur. Some people decide it is necessary to keep people in F-Chat up to date with the cr*p that goes on in AE. They still haven't worked out that we/(I'm) are not interested.
Or, stop having useless crap there to link to - people kinda forget there's lots of really good stuff there too.
there's crap on here...and there's crap on there (and every other forum) as well as good stuff on both. what's the point of this thread? maybe scud can complain and have it closed down.
look at how many posts I've made there ...... it's a half-way house between fchat and exoticforum for wayward children but nicely handled by Ash (but it's got to be time consuming)
The point is - I only brought it up because I'm seeing people saying (paraphrasing) "I don't go to AE because it's just pointless fighting etc" Ok fine - I'm not trying to drum up traffic because I don't give a poo, but folk from here only seeing it as a place for hissy fits because there's more links posted to that site doing that than all the really interesting topics....? You'd have to rethink the policies.
I don't care about number of posts - I mean Pap has made more posts on fchat than there are total on AE ffs!!! I'm mostly intrigued by the reputation, which I'm becoming less and less happy with, and which I intend to fix. Quality.... Quantity...
I haven't seen a Morrets at AE. LOL You know watching the V8 stupidcars (as you guys call them), every time I see Barrets I thinks Morrets.
For what it's worth Ash, I'm visiting the forums on AE much more often now because you've got your finger on the pulse when it comes to new car reviews (not just Ferraris), news, photos, etc. I ignore the BS threads started by the usual suspects (as I do here too). AE is a quality site - unparalleled in Oz for its mix of news, photos and forums - and you ought to be applauded for it.
Lots of fools - hence the Claytons thread and BS thread and wasteland section. Thanks, means heaps and makes it worthwhile.
