You gonna check out the Reventon while you're in California? http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=137894328&postcount=27 "Fly into San Francisco or San Jose and drive it home." Sounds like you to me. Peter Hatch
That looks incredible, I believe the Gentleman who owns that car also has an FXX, Enzo, and Veryron as well.
How long are you staying in California for this time if you don't mind my asking? I wouldn't mind another chance to see you and your cars if they will be here for any sort of an extended period of time. My 94 Mustang is looking for a race. Peter Hatch
Don Wallace has many very very rare cars. If I'm not mistaken a "regular" Veyron and a Pur Sang as well as a McLaren F1... It really is one of those dream garages you'd pick if you were thirteen. And then a Reventon on top of it... Unbelievable! _J
I saw a FifthGear episode where the gentleman hosting was at the Villa d'Est and very briefly spoke about P4/5 referring to Jim as "some rich guy" and the development of the car costing $3M. Ewww boy. _J
Wasn't that the one where he's holding an umbrella in the open cockpit, and they are following the P4/5?
Nope. Hosted by a fella called "Johnny" refers to P4/5 as a "nice car" which took "about a year to complete." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0JJEXe-cNo @ 7:20 Seriously! Jim, could you have something like that set up? I see a magazine cover... _J
My little contribution to this super thread... Done this week-end... Ballpen on white paper, from a Top Gear photograph... Enjoy! Image Unavailable, Please Login
In last months EVO, they had a coachbuilders page. They had a picture of the P 4/5 and they said... "Unlike some previous one-offs such as the recent Enzo-based P 4/5, the finished article will be badged a Ferrari too, so will be included in official Ferrari production records just like in the '50s heyday of coach-built cars that Ferrari is hoping to create..." So do Ferrari acknowledge this car or not?
Interesting EBAY find. http://cgi.ebay.com/1-43-Ferrari-P4-5-Yow-Modellini-Kit_W0QQitemZ250253980108QQihZ015QQcategoryZ145976QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247
Yes they do. The article is wrong. I saw it too and was like WTF homie, do some research....pffft Journalists.
Someone who knows someone at EVO should get them to print a correction on that. Not that Jim won't sleep well at night without it, but come on... EVO is the one magazine I normally have complete respect for. Bad form to get something like that wrong. >8^) ER
For the record, Officially the car is: Ferrari P 4/5 by Pininfarina as agreed to by Luca, Andrea and me.
Jim, as requested. Points of view of P4/5 and the Enzo-overlay are not exactly the same, but you'll get the idea. Image Unavailable, Please Login
