    Per old Ditzler/PPG color tables, yes, 1968 - 1971.

The serial number of the Trenery/Fantasy Junction 330 GTS is 10599 but Blu Tourbillon is not the original color for this car. This car was originally painted Argento 25090 A (silvergrey) with Nero Franzi (black) interior, Pininfarina body number 0333, instruments in miles, destination Harrah's MCM Modern Classic Motors in Reno/NV, USA. None of the 100 units built of the 330 GTS was originally painted Blu Tourbillon. And at the time there were three different types of Tourbillon available: Blu Tourbillon 2.443.009, then Blu Tourbillon 2.443.607 and Blu Tourbillon Metallizzato.

There was a Blue 330 GTS that had significant frame twisting upon crashing that was painted Blue during the piecing back together.

Caveat emptor, Fantasy Junction's reputation for perpetration is well known

330GTS #10599 at Fantasy Junction has had no frame damage at any point in its life. It is a very carefully restored original car that spent roughly two decades in storage before being brought back to life. I am intimately familiar with this car and can personally vouch for it.

mjw599, you have a bad reputaion on this forum already. Be careful what you say about other people's property.

Must be a different car. I know this car well as it was restored by the shop that serviced my cars at the time. I have a stack of photographs similar to those posted above which would indicate an original and complete car that suffered from poor storage if anything. The only thing twisted was my bank manager who wouldn't loan me the money to buy the car!

The long storage made it a time capsule from the 70's and an excellent starting point for its every-nut-and-bolt restoration. Apparently the stored car was well known in the LA area, but it took some time and skill to aquire from the former owner.

    Hi John,

It is my car. I've contracted Fantasy Junction to market it and was trying not to interfere, but with limited success!

I bought the car in a decade ago from the restorer that pried it loose from the former owner, and contracted with that shop for the restoration. It was a great experience which I would be happy to discuss with any seriously interested party.

    Best,

    Deane

Thanks, I put a lot of care into that car and really, really love it. It is hurting me to offer it for sale. Climbing market value has possibly made it too large a fraction of my net worth. On the other hand, if it does not sell, I get to take it home again! :)

The story behind the color, Blu Tourbillon: The couple of deep blues that were "standard" on 330GTS cars were IMHO unsophisticated and flashy in appearance. And the original silver with black seats and red carpets - no thanks. Ferrari's period Blu Tourbillon is in practice a very elegant color and would have been a plausible color on a bespoke car. Never an issue at concours. And it matches the NOS Connoly hides very well.

Beautiful car, it will be a good indicator to judge just how soft the market is if this doesn't sell fast.

and, fwiw, i have had some dealings with the Trenerys at Fantasy Junction and have only the highest regard for them. I agree about the 330gts, but my eye is on the Embiricos Bentley. Fabulous car, the longer I am in this game, the more i appreciate the french bodywork from the 30's.

I have also been impressed with the Trenerys. They are both enthusiasts and have taken care to represent my car accurately.

Love that Bentley, wish I'd seen it in person when I dropped my car off!

Beautiful car Deane. I motion that we have MJW599 removed from this forum for his defamatory and completely baseless remarks.

Thanks. I have had a couple of semi-decent offers so far, interest is out there.

The Market is not soft for great cars.I do not know the history of this car but properly restored cars sell for top dollar. Many cars sell quietly. This year in Monterey you will see just how strong the vintage Ferrari market still is. It will be crazy.

I would also vouch for the Trenery's. The entire team at Fantasy Junction is a class act, from both Chris's and Dawna.

I liked the VanVooren Bentley, a very striking car and very easy to drive.

Great cars sell themselves. I remember driving a 275gtb short nose they had about 5 1/2 years ago. It was about 175k. I passed.

Yep, I had a couple of unsolicited "quiet" offers last year from well known collectors who saw my car in Patrick's shop.

For some reason I can't find a website for Patrick Ottis. Does he have one?
