Nero SS - that is one sharp car Vince! Did you get is serviced at Bobileff's a while back? I could have sworn I've seen it there before.
OK vince what's the story? A crash or just a re-spray? What ever happened to the performance mods with Goth?
As a reminder, the car was on its way down to Bobileff's in SD for an annual visit when some inconsiderate idiot dropped a piece of lawn furniture on the I-5 around San Juan Capistrano. Yes, all sorts of fun ensued including a pretty much holed front end. Car was drivable down to the shop where it remained for 3 months. The saga included much dancing with the insurance company to get it done right. I could not bring myself to photograph it and frankly, it didn't look that bad. Lip spoiler was gone, shattered into a million pieces of resin splinters littering the highway. The lower chin spoiler was punctured and cracked and the front undertray was cracked. It's nice to have it back. As for the performance upgrades, I now have an Innovate LM-2 to test the exhaust flow F/A ratios. We can get a chip burned once we know this data. Performance Chips in Costa Mesa is intersted in doing a custom chip just for my application, but I am just nosing around for options. My intake runners are at goth's for flow improvement and I am i Plugzit's debt for his allowing me to borrow his old lowers all this time. Ernie has his sent off to some guy in TX so there's that possibility too. Goth and I were talking about doing a complete redesign of the intake syste to mirror the 360 design using larger MAF's and TB's on a custom aluminum plenum like Group77racing did. However, one step at a time. We need to see how far we can take the stock intake before we hit the performance wall. I also want to test the airbox, fresh air intake and filter system to see if there is any restriction there holding back performance. I might just strap on some K&N cold air intake tubes/filters for fun.
what did you do with your 348 rims? I am looking for a set to replace my 360 rims on my Mondial t. The 18s are just too big with the fender change that year. If anyone else knows of a complete set for sale or to trade for the 360 rims I would be interested in talking to you. The 348 looks great by the way!
Glad you finally got her back. It looks like you left your new spoiler lip in unfinished carbon fiber -- very nice on a nero car. - Eric
The lower lip is painter resin and is not CF. I like my wheels the way they are. In fact I detest black painted rims. I do have my original wheels and tires, but I am keeping them. Thanks all for the good thoughts.
No I do not know a Steve Leandowski the name in certain parts of the country is as common as air. I am asked all the time if I know a certain Lewandowski and never once have I known the person. Sorry does he owe you money?
I have them back. Got them ported out a bit. I still have the plenum off my car at the moment. I wasn't able to get a dyno of my car's stock setup before I sent them out, due to the fuel tank leak & removal, so I won't really know what kind of improvements it made. However, if yours are off right now Vince I could take my plenum down to your place and we could slap it on and see what it does on your car? Since we already know what yours dyno'd we would be able to see what improvements my porting got over your stock figures? What do ya say? Oh yeah, and I'm glad you got your car back.
