I saw this a week ago, but I haven't gotten around to really posting about it. In Edgewater on River Road I spotted a new 7-series. Certainly interesting as it was still predominantly taped-up and sporting a swirly, black and white design. Proportionally it is essentially the same as the current 7-series. And the looks of it are identical to the recent press shots which were released, so, I do not understand the need for taping and all that. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/sedans/revealed-2009-bmw-7-series-images-leak/ http://www.motorauthority.com/images/BMW/7-series/Leak/hires//BMW_7_Series_hires_leaks_MotorAuthority_001.jpg
It certainly inspires me (to look elsewhere for buying a family sedan) I actually like the new looks. It's even lost 100 lbs I heard.
It seems every time BMW is about to roll out a new product I wind up seeing it. I have seen: - Pre-production M6 - 335 - Pre-production E92 M3 convertible - Pre-production X6 It's cool to see test vehicles floatin' around. ps. IMHO I am not a huge fan of this redesign
Their N.A. Headquarters is in Woodcliff Lake, so it's expected the new models would be floating around those parts.
I saw a ML320 Bluetec yesterday with Michigan manufacturer plates. First test car I've ever seen. I'm still not a fan of the new 7 looks (let alone the last gen, E38 is great still). The interiors are very nice, though.
I saw an alpine white '01 E38 740iL the other day with the sport package and couldn't stop looking at it. It had a moonroof (color matched to the body) so it took me off guard at first and I thought it was the Protection package since they don't come with a moon/sunroof at all. I will get an '01 750iL at some point in my life. Right now I can't afford to maintain one, LOL!
