The exhibition "Hommage a Ferrari" was sponsored and organized by the Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art and held from 22nd May to 26th July 1987 in Jouy-en-Josas near Paris, France. The 288 GTO on display was S/N 53757. Marcel Massini
Exat, Jacky Setton car i presume...there was also a large part of collection from Pierre Bardinon. Beautifull exposition, did you have some pics?
Interesting to note the main strut washer painted in black (production cars had them naked cad-plated or with a blue paint applied). The "288" badge is typical of the unusual detail that adorn prototype cars. Thanks for sharing all this Marcel...
Unfortunately- the description of Mr R is intentionally vague, but I do know the riginal original owner was a mr e.r.- had had an f40 from new as well- not sure if he still has them
I thought that is who it was. Does he still have them? He's a neat guy and his photo album of the trip to take delivery of the GTO is priceless- I wish he would post some pics here- There is a picture in Cavallino of him doing a smoke show w/ it in one of their early issues on the car
Thanks for the great pictures contributed including the old b&W shots. Marcel I especially like the prototype at the 'car wash' there with everything opened up. Piero Ferrari got an F40, did he ever have a GTO? CH
