    I remember from the Gentry threads that tail numbers are pretty easily used to identify planes and owners, does anyone a reference website where I might get info on a plane?

    It appears I'll be taking my first corporate jet ride on a Citation X, I want to learn a little.

    It will make your next commercial flight even more of a beating. Pack light and watch your head.
    The angle of take-off will get your blood pumping. Little hot rods of the sky, and able to get above the
    weather most turbo props cannot. Enjoy the ride Jim, and the Citation will most likely will be in your favorite color, white.

    The commercial flight(s) I had booked took off at 3:30pm, got me home at 9:30pm, from the East coast with a layover. The new flight is wheels up at 1:00, on the ground at 3:30.

    Unreal.

    Phil was right, I'm spoiled. Who knew travel could be so easy? Drive up to the hanger, get on the plane, take off, land, get in your car and drive away. No security, no hassle. Oh yeah, and FAST. :) The onboard flight monitor showed 597mph shortly before landing. It was interesting to watch our speed climb as we burned fuel.

    I was pleased to learn that my employer participates in the Angel Network, our last 2 seats were filled by a cancer patient and her husband returning home. They got a free ride and got home very quickly.

    The X is an amazing airplane. I was lucky enough to work on the X during my time at Cessna and have a engineering test flight hours in the prototype.

    Googling the tail number works many times. I have gotten into the habit of googling any interesting aircraft I see at big airports, makes layovers go faster. That's exactly what I've been doing all morning. Not long ago I found a "Con-Air" flight, which was a 737 with no identifying marking, only by googling the tail number did I figure out what it was.

    Did the same this week. Was at Meacham and googled a GV from my phone for the tail number. There were pics of the jet from all over the world people had taken and posted and more info than I am sure the owners wanted posted.
