    Hey all;

    I am required to substantiate value for my 288GTO, yet have been getting the run around as they can't find comparables. There are a lot of experts here in teh car business. I'd ask if you'd be kind enough to provide a range of values.

    6000km car, no accident, BAR certified.

    Its not surprising that there aren't many comparables out there given the car's overall production numbers.

    The other thing you'll run into is that the higher numbers involve cars sold between private parties where its difficult to "substantiate" anything. We have seen a couple of dealer sales at $650k-ish that can be substantiated, and then I'm aware of and have been involved with some private party transactions at $750k-ish where its difficult to substantiate those numbers for the benefit of the general public given confidentiality agreements and other factors.

    An interesting observation I have made though is that as the 288 GTO gets older with the passage of time, their values are not as mileage-sensitive as they used to be.
