Picture of McLaren F1, Saleen S7, from behind? ====================================== Hi all, I remember seeing a photo of 2 (or 3?) cars on the street, taken from behind. It may have been at a stoplight. I remember some orange in the picture, so it may included the McLaren F1 LM and/or the Saleen S7 in their usual colors.. not sure about the 3rd car, but I think there was a 3rd car... Does anyone know what I'm talking about...? Anyone have this pic? Thanks in advance! ~shahedc .
It is quite real. I know where the photos came from. I might even have a copy of the story about that day before it was pulled.
Sweet pic! Would love to hear the story. Wonder what the people in all the other cars thought... Wonder if any of them realized what a rare sight they beheld...
I remember that. I think the story was that the owner lent the car to a guy to display (i think it was Nitto @ SEMA) and he drove it around and stuff without Dan's (the owner) permission or knowledge
for someone who has never seen an F1 in person it really puts the size in perspective with it looking small compared to the 355
Here is another, looks like from the same photoshoot, as there are the same cars.... http://img148.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=53716_2518550g_122_1041lo.jpg and some more of the F1 in supercar company http://img139.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=53879_1537584445_5492cdd639_o_122_1133lo.jpg http://img103.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=53880_52b0badb_122_1025lo.jpg http://img24.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=53882_AFM37C_122_626lo.jpg http://img166.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=53887_F40andMcLarenF1_122_1118lo.jpg
Dan being the chap in the video taken by his wife upon collection of his re-furb'd car from McLaren, England? That is pretty damn bad taking someones McLaren out like that against their knowledge.
Nope. Not the case at all. The guy driving the car is the owner of the car on the left, and is best friends with the car owner on the right. Give you a hint: look at the license plates.
haha, you guys are the best... that first response was EXACTLY the picture I was talking about! It turns out that I only remembered the F1 correctly, and the other 2 cars were actually a 360 and 355... Beautiful picture! And thanks for the additional pics and info! ~shahedc . p.s. I have a fake picture of a Veyron with the F1. Does anyone have any real pics, with these 2 cars together? Fake pic: Image Unavailable, Please Login
oh, and here's the 1st pic, for those of you who are too lazy to click... Image Unavailable, Please Login
I stand corrected. I remember hearing it was a fake. One of the things that always struck me as odd is only the the F1 plate has been covered up. Usually if you are going to blank out a license plate, you would do all 3.
If that is who it was sold to... perhaps? Otherwise, this one used to be mclarenforsale.com or something similar to that. He took it out to the track, several videes and such from California posters on car forums.
Enzo and McLaren in the SAME garage...now that might be the ultimate collection right there! WOW! Another thing that struck me is that the ENZO DWARFS the McLaren! I have never had the pleasure of seeing one live and in person and that car is SMALL! Same w/ the pic of the Mc and the 355 and 360...they are BOTH bigger than the Mc! I had no idea! Thanks for sharing those pics! James
The F1 was in Scottsdale before being sold and lived like 2 blocks from me, my brother had the privledge to get a ride, and at a absolutely ridiculous speed (170+). My brother had been to the owners house several times, and he had told me he had a large amount of ferraris and what not. Including F40s, among other crazy things, he was the one with the video showing a 13yr old kid driving his enzo. In that video you can actually see my house lol, it was literally right across the street. Its actually my school parking lot. heres the video the other clips are in related videos http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5763867165672688124&hl=en
I was at a construction site at 13, someone had an old beat up Porsche there, he let me drive it in the empty parking lot, I fell in love, and started saving. if it had of been an Enzo, I'd still have a long ways to go!
Alex, I guess that's because the F1 is more rare? And you won't find many McLaren sports cars out there... (the SLR is not a real "sports" car in a sense). That would make the 2 F-cars seem like a dime a dozen.. ~shahedc .
It makes you wonder how they took that picture. That vantage point may be high even for a SUV---or maybe it just looks like it's taken from up above because the cars are so low?
I wonder that the both Ferraris are wider than Mclaren F1. I have never seen Mclaren F1 in person, but I can imagine how wide it should be because it has 3 seats..
