Any art, may it be drawing, painting, photography is great... keep your mind off the daily worries of life...

I'm always drawing on the job: it relaxes me!

I spent the day yesterday running around the Bay Area. Stopped off at Fantasy Junction in Emeryville and saw some beautiful F-cars. Got some shots of the new arrivals outside. 250 Europa, 512BBI and 330 Spider. A few of what was not to crowded on the inside. F40, 330P4, 550 Barchetta, 575, more of the 250 Europa on a Lift. After that, headed over to Lamborghini on Van Ness and got several shots. The new Gallardo LP 560-4 in Green is so sweet. Also got some Lotus Elise shots. Spent to much time on Haight after that and missed out on Ferrari of Silicon Valley and Silicon Valley Auto Group.

Making sketches again made me want to continue... But this time drawing my favorite cars: Classic Ferrari's racing...

Let's get a little bit serious this time ;-)

This was done today (some WE are best spent doing a little bit of art). blue ink pen on velum art paper (11" X 14")

This is a 1959 250 GT Berlinetta (Tour de France) (#1035) A. Gomez Mena - Juan Fernandez, Sebring 1959, 20th. From an Original picture from my friend, the extraordinary Tom Burnside (www.tomburnside.com)...

I don't like the 348 too much... I'll draw the 328 (which is a much better looking car before)...

    Very impressive!
Your shading technique is fabulous, how its direction follows the form of the object... especially so on the front left fender. Bellissimo!
Thx for showing the interim step.

    Thanks Grant!

I thought I would try something different with the shading...

I am a big fan of your work also! Just love the watercolor you did, the reflections of the paintwork is just amazing!

    Cheers.
