As I am prepairing a big diorama of all his race cars for his next birthday (80) in november, I need a color picture of the 251 SWB serial 2127GT just to determine the exact color of the body (celeste blue ?) and the colors of the stipes (blue/white/red or black/yellow/red ?)

This car was driven by my Father in the following races :
    Tour de France 1960 - N°154 - Rank 2 OA - Dumay / Schlesser
    Coupe de Paris 1960 - N°21 - DNF - Dumay
    1000km de Paris 1960 - N°4 - Rank 4 - Dumay / Tavano
    Rallye du limousin 1961 N° unknown - Rank 11 - Dumay / ???
    GP de Rouen (4H) 1961 - N°10 - Rank 5/DNF - Dumay
    6H d'auvergne (Charade) 1961 - N° 12 or 14 - Rank 3 - Dumay / Mairesse ?

    Thanks in advance.

Here are some pictures of 2127 GT in June 2007 at Maranello.

The colours is light blue (French blue, so not Blu Celeste) with Red-White-Blue stripe.

    Best regards

I recall receiving several faxes from Kerry when he was trying to find parts for the resto. 1984/5? He was looking for some major pieces if memory serves me right.

    Nice photos. David

    Hi Ed,

Thanks for these pictures. Though these are very real, to me they are like snapshots from the Land of Oz. That car dolly in the third photo is a historical piece in itself.

This is not ego-driven, but Steve's remark calls for an answer. I used to harbor dreams of putting some of my old tales together with some new ones, and some of my pix, to make a book. However, many people who have done a book have told me that they almost never made any money out the venture, as the market is pretty slim. We may be strong as enthusiasts, but we are not strong in numbers. As i am still working, I have to use my time to best advantage, and assembling a book no longer seems to be a good use of time. So, at this point, it is not looking feasible. Heck, many of you have already read most of them anyway. BUT, if anyone out there has the expertise to publish and market (things I know zero about) feel free to PM me. I'll keep an open mind. Oh, and Steve has his own idea whcih may come to light some day, I hope.
