Where can I get a 348 front splitter from? Valance do them, but I've not heard good things about them. Who else does them?
Hi Sy, I purchased mine from Valence last year. Great product. It did take a little while because I wanted the carbon look and they wanted a perfect product to be shipped to me. The wait paid off. They produced a high quality product that I have been extremely happy with. Just my personal experience FWIW...
There are several options. Do you want a splitter, or a factory 'dam' (non-Speciale)? The factory dam is here: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=236786
I've already got the factory dam but won't be putting it on. It'll get ripped off within 100 yards. Ordered it thinking it was the splitter. Don't care if it's carbon or plastic to be honest.
Ok... here's a stupid question... I see the quote from Shem... but, no post to quote it from.... So, where did it go? This is only the tip of the iceberg of a vast Right Wing conspiracy???? Mike in Kuwait Image Unavailable, Please Login
Fashion splitters are nice but you need one like this for function. This was generation 1 and it worked so well I had to balance it by adding more rear wing! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Morning Sy, have you ever thought about something like this. I been thinking along these lines myself. I cannot see it being hard to make. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You need a better looking tow hook IMO... See post #3... LOL Serioursly thought, your splitter is awesome. Probably not practical for the street, but I am sure it is very effective.
Heard a few people say avoid them as they are unreliable. So was thinking of alterntives. FNA = Ferrari North America? I tried the main dealers here and they don't do the front splitter. Only teh air dam which I already purchased by mistake. That would last 30 seconds over here. Includes the time it takes to open the door, get in, turn ignition on, put on seatbelt, adjust trousers and start engine. It's possible. Let's have a chat about it next week.
I have the factory splitter on my 348 from Ricambi. It hasn't hit the ground yet, it's only about an inch lower. I think looks better than the other one that hangs out the front of the air dam. the paint is factory too so it matches the valence color of the early cars. Installs easily in minutes fits perfectly. my car is not lowered, and haven't had a problem with it hitting anything. and I live in a state that probably has the poorest roads around. basically the roads here suck.
Finally managed to source the splitter for the 348. A well known company in the UK is now doing them in carbon fiber. i've ordered two of them and they work out cheaper than the Valence ones. You can get them from: Pro-Sport Unit 2, Highgrosvenor, Worfield Bridgnorth, Shropshire WV15 5PN Tel: 01746 710 781 www.prosport-ferrari.com Mention my name for the special price of £120 plus vat 7 delivery. I've ordered two of them with one as a spare. It'll be put on in the next coupel of months when the car goes in for a full respray.
Al at Alsaautomotive who is doing the respray just received the two splitters. As tehy were so cheap, decided to get two of them. Have them sprayed and keep one as a back up. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not that I am aware of .......... but I think a factory version will look great if it were available ......
99% of the 355 owners would never know... at those kinds of speeds, the hair-gel might fly off and disrupt a perfect coiffure.
