I decided to add a 900 square foot room addition to the side of my new house for a Ferrari/Theater/Xbox room. My previous house was too much of a "bachelor pad" with my stuff everywhere so I decided to create a separate section to house "guy stuff." :D The white thing on the floor of the theater room is the inside part of a 18000 btu a/c unit that will be cooling the entire room.

    Room? What room?

But seriously that looks absolutely awesome, really loving the racing buckets for seats. Now you need to put a lock on the door with male only voice recognition :D

Thanks for the compliments! The room is not quite done yet. Still need shutters installed and am planning on doing some custom painting/murals on the walls.

Branko - You asked about a door closing off the room - there is not (yet). I was planning to have some custom glass doors made to go in the arch way that separates this room from the rest of the house to prevent the exhaust from seeping over but so far that hasn't happened. The french doors open wide and once the car starts I just back it out and let it warm up outside. I might just leave it open the way it is now.

Sweet setup! love the use of space.

as for the egress to the house, I'd find a way to close it off, the exhaust fumes you smell aren't the ones that kill. if you go into another adjoining part of the house lay on the floor and smell the air, you'll most likely smell the exhaust. I noticed this at my house one day when I was playing with my two boys, since that discovery I don't park the Ferrari in that garage. ventilation is paramount to your safety, I have a 1500sq/ft shop that I don't run the cars in for extended times becouse I can't vent it well enough. there is also a UBC code for it as well, run it by you architect or GC.

The seats are made by Playseat USA. I bought mine from Dick's Sporting Goods (http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2775592). The steering wheels are available anywhere they sell Xbox. I bought mine from Best Buy. The wheels are wireless so you can place the seats as far back or up close as you want. The photos are a bit deceiving since everything looks on the small side. The big screen is the newest 65 inch Sharp Aquos LCD and the four Xbox screens are all 32s. The beauty of multiple screens is obvious - no split or shared screens going on.
