The New Ferrari Challenge PS3 Game

Today I've unlocked and bought the 575GTC and a 355 Berlinetta! ........and for bragging rights I've also beaten the best time in the World for the Homestead circuit in Time trial mode, with the F430 Challenge car!
I have to warn others before buying this game: It is REALLY addictive!!!

 

Would love input on the driving too. Is it a sim or a game? I am waiting for GTR Evolution with the full Nurburgring. So far, nothing out there I have seen matches GTR2.

 

Can you change the liveries on your car, and do they have historical liveries for the cars?

Just reserved my copy today! Comes in Aug 27th!!!

 

Guess I will buy it. I was waiting to hear feedback. I think it costs 65 Euro here in Italy, 100 bucks for a game!! Some games are even 75 Euro.. nuts. I loved Forza 2, hopefully this lives up to that and more, with the lack of cars. I assume its not possible to buy upgrades and modify the cars?

 

the quotes from reviews on the official website seem a little TOO good....i may be wrong, but i highly doubt the graphics and gameplay will be as good as granturismo - but i love the cars, so i will buy it anyways haha.

 

Let's say you play the game 100 hours, that means a buck per hour. Now go and sit in the pub for 100 hours, let's see how much you spend. Or what about a DVD movie? You watch it 2 times on average I would say. So that means 4 hours of enjoyment for 15 euros.

I think these games are not cheap but for the amount of enjoyment you get it's not too bad at all.

how does this compare to that Forza game? or even the "GT5"

My sister's youngest son has that playstation 3 machine and i was thinking of getting him a game disc to add to his collection of discs...

This is great although I assume it will be a disappointment as all driving games tend to be compaired to reality.

i'm new to ps3 , how do i download new content pls ?

 

Despite the features, does anyone know the game play? How does it compare to the Gran Turismo prologue (which is what my nephew regards the most.)

I want to get a game which he will enjoy instead of waste money on something he wont use..

 

it's challenging and fun ... worth a buy if you're into ferrari imho

Where is the full list?

 

Eep, sorry i forgot to edit that part of my post. That's about 17 of the 27 DIFFERENT cars. There are 24 F430's, plus two unlocked.

Are the unlockable ones.

Here's the problem.

They say 50 DIFFERENT, however right now we have 24 different F430's. 27 Different other cars (21 have only been released), plus the DLC and including two unlockables.

I got the list from a random forum, such as this one.. http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=109114 usually the moderators keep track of it.

I was actually wondering the same thing if he had to give permission or if just Pininfarina gave it or something...

In your console, scroll to the PSN or PS3 Network i think it is, you'll have to register, once you do that, you can go to the PS3 online store (in the same place where you went to register), and look for download content for games..then just search up this game.

 

Jim and Mark have most probably met. System 3 is not a new company. Ferrari Challenge was not just designrd in a studio, it was done at Fieorano, with Bruno Senna. This game is as official as it gets. And great!

I am not a gamer, but this game looks like it may be my first. The setup I envision is two game chairs so the game can be played head to head. What would I need to accomplish this? Thanks for any advice.

 

At a minimum, a Playstation 3, two controllers, and a television. For the kind of setup some of the members in here have been describing, you'd need a couple of the more elaborate wheel/pedals/shifter controllers, along with the console and a few TVs.

 

i cant see the extra content for this game on ps3 store ....
