A year has passed....

Since I picked up my first Ferrari (Today exactly one year ago). What an awesome year it has been, I have already upgraded cars and I am now totally in love with my 355. I have learnt so much from this board its hard to believe or comprehend. I have made so many friends both here in NZ and around the world on this board.

Ferrari ownership is everything I dreamed it would be.

I was talking to a friend the other day and he asked if I though owning a Ferrari had changed me, I thought for a while and then decided Yes, it most definitely has changed me, for the better, I have more knowledge about something I am very passionate about, I have great new friends and most of all I have achieved a life long goal, the power this instills is great, nothing is impossible if we put our minds to it. That is awesome.

Thank you to all my F-chat friends and to all those who post in the various sections of F-chat, you all have added to a great year for me.

Thanks Rob, I was sure it was a year tomorrow but I checked before and its a year today, It is now 11:45 pm so I will have to stick to my plan of taking her out tomorrow to celebrate, cake and all.

Thanks Sam, I agree, this board is a large part of the special nature of Ferrari ownership. These things are great to look at, drive in, and talk about. That is something special indeed.

Thank you Kevin! That is AWESOME!!! I did not realise we brought our cars on the same day! And I think you are correct we are the 2 youngest 355 owners that are regular here, Pap can be an honorary 355 owner though, just cos we all know he wants a 355!

Thank you David, correct, I first brought a 355F1 GTB (This is a year since that happened) the car had a problem in the F1 system that was very difficult to diagnose and therefore nearly impossible to fix, that car spent more time in the shop than at my home, the guys I brought it from stood up and did the right thing and here I am with the car I originally set out to buy. (this is the short version of a very long story)

 

In honorary of this momentous occasion I decided to treat my self to a present or 2, photos to follow tonight.

LOL, I tried to have a cake made by a local shop in the shape of the shield but the did not have a cake tin that shape.....so just a regular chocolate (maybe Bananna to match the yellow of my car?) cake will have to do.

As for the treats, you will have to wait and see...

 

Thanks Jay, I love your car, and the fact that you put the effort in to do the major yourself and then once its back together its being used! You are an inspiration for me to tackle this when the time comes.
