    That is probably a modified version of the reverse trike known as the Sportcycle. Dick Kencheloe made one similarly called the "Raptor". Photos of the build here: http://picasaweb.google.com/dick.kincheloe/20070617TheRaptorSMaidenVoyage. There are lots of front 2 - rear 1 reverse trikes being home built these days. I think the best two seater is from a guy in Sweden here: http://www.mride.se/Mride_t42home1.html . The T-rex is the best known reverse trike design. This particular example has an extreme size not usually seen in this kind of design.

    It is a Messerschmidt that some Southern California hot rodder/customerizer still living in the 50's got ahold of. Stretched, lowered, souped up and painted. I think it started out looking something like the one below.......
