    Emilio,

it was a great day, really. Fabio is very, very enthusiastic. He led us to the birthplace of Ferruccio which can be seen in the attached photo.

In the picture you also will find a car which you know quite well...

I am sorry for not having met you on Sunday (I only participated in the meeting on Sunday).

    Emilio,

I enjoyed having met Alex. He is a real Countach freak. His QV is immaculate. We will meet each other during one of the following meetings, I am sure.

VIN for this car is #7891

I don’t know the present status of the car, but I found at least a trace. I recently got a copy of Quattroruote October 1970 in which a light blue Espada was tested, described as #7891 … with engine #40313. Another (partially) solved mystery.

It was owned in Germany by Udo Schuelke. Sold in august 2003 on Ebay to someone in Los Angeles who specifically liked brown cars. Although not orginal, I have to admit that I like the wire rims. anything you can add to the history of this car IsleroMan?

    Ciao!

Actually, I'm Udo, and I owned it in Arizona back in 2002 or 2003. I bought it from Fantasy Junction (where the pics were taken) through an eBay auction. I had it for about 6 months, then sold it via eBay to a Hollywood producer/director/actor (I can't remember his name - I hadn't heard of him before) who like brown cars. He then sold it, again through eBay probably 6-12 mo later. That's when I heard it went to Germany.

I had never seen an Espada on Borranis and must say it is very interesting....by the way there was a yellow Espada at Le Mans Classic: was that actually a factory color?

    Best regards,

    Marc

Do you have any pictures of that yellow Espada? It's probably the same car which attended SpaItalia (see pictures in post #146). I believe the "light yellow" is a factory color; f.e. the Espada on cover of Osprey Autohistory has the same color.

I don't know which chassis no is it, I'd like to know too (maybe 2nd or 3rd car?), but it's the same car that is in the first brochure, with different steering wheel (here, with the same steering of the Marzal and the Miura Roadster Bertone). I don't think it's the same color as the Roadster. The only other one that had this exact same color (with very deep metal flakes) is 7293, the one with the transparent roof, driven by Rainier and Grace, and exposed at Quail 2 week-end ago (same owner as the Roadster...).

Did he get shot by a frontier guard?

    Ciao!

Haven't heard from Tom yet... Either he had to go home, or he drove on an old landmine? ;)
Technically his Countach was in pretty good nick... But you never know what hits you next I guess.
Was Denes there too, with the metallic red Countach?

Haha, no problem. My parents were from Germany, hence the name, but I was born in AZ. Do let me know if you find the car.
