Don’t you find it odd that a company like Ferrari, and for a car as rare and significant as the 288 GTO, would mount rear fog/rain lights that look like they came off the back of a farm trailer?

At least the version with 1 lamp attached to the gearbox looks Formula 1 style.

What's that yellow thing on the speaker? The black panel on the door looks different...

The yellow thing is a badge that says "GTO"

The door panel is correct: velour on the top half behind the grab-handle, vinyl on the bottom half.

Its the manual window-crank plug thats different in case you missed it :) The original item does not have the chrome-on-plastic bezel....

Mr Hill congratulations for like you lives and enjoys your GTO.
I believe that this it is the best way of enjoying it. Doing kilometres and eating roads.
What tyres has you normally used ? : I read in the photos PROXES RA1.
Are thy Michelin or Good Year ? Are they effective and well for GTO ?

They are Toyo Proxes RA1. That is my prefered road tyre. You should shave them for the track use. I generally use Hoosiers for the track.

When I purchased the car back in 1992, the car still had its original Goodyear Gatorback tyres on them. Hard as bowling balls. I put on a set of Goodyear GSCS tires. Loved them, but they haven't been made in a while.

In Monterey, I happened to park next to a black Porsche 959 (with my GTO) while stopping for something to eat. The Quail was having a reunion of the Porsche 959 of sorts. I believer there were ten 959s running around Monterey. I did follow one back to downtown Monterey. I believe this one was modified with twin turbos instead of two sequential turbos as originally built. I believe Bruce Canepa legalized the 959s using parts from later Turbos to get them smogged for the US. A 959 is a wonderful car.

That's the part number. That's how I ordered my extra set of those pipes. The middle pipe is the ball buster to find. I believe Maranello Concessionaires has re-produced these now.

Yup, my car. Just part of the 1500 miles racked up during the Monterey week. That was earlier in the week before the car was too dirty. I believe that was Monday, so only the fourth day of "holy week".
