Bittersweet victory. On one hand there's Massa's wonderful performance. On the other, Kimi's disastrous race. Ferrari HAS to sort out these reliability problems. Having engines blowing like light bulbs is unacceptable. Also, fingers crossed for this RIDICULOUS investigation on Massa's F-car. By the way things are looking, at this point, I think that Ferrari needs to place its efforts on helping Massa win the WDC. --- Forza Ferrari.
Great win for Massa - he saves face for Ferrari admist all the errors. Congratulations to him. Carol You guys in the UK - MOTORS TV is suppose to be carrying live the ALMS Race from Mostport this afternoon.
Say say two thousand zero zero eight is party over Oops, out of time So tonight I'm gonna party like it's 1980!
I think we'll be crossing our fingers next race. Too many Ferrari engines blowing up on their second races.
Well done Masa! .. I wonder how important those missing 10pts in Hungary will be come the end of the season .. and I guess Ferrari will have to focus all their efforts on Masa now.
bittersweet win today for ferrari. two engine failures in the last two races, two botched pitstops in todays race, possible upcoming penatly for massa in the next race.
I would bet that Kimi mishandled that engine. Coming right after the pit, I don;t believe was an accident. Rather immaturity.
Well, according to the Anti-Massa crew, the blewn engine last race was Massas fault... now consequently, this would have to be Kimis fault. Wonder what they'll have to say
Fantastico race for Massa! Apparently Massa is the only one that can beat Boy Wonder. Horrible day for Kimi (mostly his own fault I'm afraid ) and the Ferrari pit crew.
For what it's worth, Luca Baldisseri says that he is "very optimistic" on the investigation's outcome. Knock on wood, or steel as we say in Italy.
Well done Massa.Superb race and superb win.On a side note I'm pretty sick of the ITV biased commentary as well. When ever Hamilton or Mclaren win the commentators jump up and down with enthusiasm when they cross the finish line, this afternoon when Massa crossed the line it was like they were calling a juniors amateur go kart race.My opinon at least
i predicted that early in the race The circuit is just so damn wide and besides the 1st lap when ppl did spin off or what not, they could recover. 3 DNF's. Only 1 was crashing into the wall.
I guess its time for me to start supporting Massa. You were right Ted, he is WDC material. Since I have been watching F1 for the last ?5 years, I have never watched a driver more deserving of the WDC than Felipe Massa. He has come from out of control to in control and fighting for a championship for the second year in a row. He has demonstrated the true meaning of teammate, and he has come back to the top even after hitting the bottom. He is truly one of the top four in the sport. And he hasn't run into the rear of another competitor.
........and of course it goes without saying, Ferrari should ditch the fancy-pants automated pit system and bring back the lolipop! At least with that system, Kimi would have to run over someone basically right in front of him, instead of to the side, outside his line of sight........
