Good to know that he and Ferrari finally worked out the final details. Did he mention whether it would be a "new" car or simply a rebuild?
Rebuild, I've heard its going to be something a little 'different.' And there has been speak of forced induction.
About 2 pm this afternoon we were coming northboun on I-15 just past Beaver by a few miles. There were 3 F-cars pulled to the right shoulder in the southbound side. Didn't get a good look at the first one, but the second looked like a 430, and the last was either an F-40 or F-50..
That's right.. I knew it was coming up. I'll go get my lawn chair and popcorn and sit by I-15 for a coupla days..
LOL......... Are times that tough that even if you own a Ferrari you have to eat at Village Inn........I would rather eat cardboard for free.
A group of three Jaguar test cars on I-70 on Friday and two Lamborghini Mucis today on I-70 going west.
Spotted a blue Porsche GT2 on Washington Blvd in Ogden today at about 11:40. What a beautiful machine! My wife also said she saw a "silver Ferrari" in South Ogden yesterday. Not quite sure what model it was, though.
After a small bit of research, I realize it was a Porsche 911 Turbo on my above post, but still nice! Saw an Acura NSX on 4200 Harrison in Ogden yesterday, and an Audi S8 on the way in to work today. Not Ferrari league, but still rare, especially around these parts.
Saw a red 308, a red 355, a red 360, a yellow F430, a blue 1951 212, a blue TR (if I am permitted to log a sighting of my own car), a couple of Maseratis, a Lotus Elise and a zillion other interesting cars of various makes at the the Utah Concours d'elegance at Thanksgiving Point today. Oh, and I also saw the legendary Internet celebrity Stackhouse Sorry, didn't get any pictures (too busy soaking in the sun and sights). Maybe some will turn up... Stackhouse, Nice job assisting in the event organizing and for getting at least a few of us Ferrari people out there. Next year I think we'll have a lot more owners show up.
Paul, that was fun. And great to meet you and Stackhouse today as well. Sorry I couldn't stay longer, maybe next year.. -Doug
I also caught a glimpse of the gray haired gentleman with the F430 in Layton a week ago! I am also up north (no Ferrari but a Acura NSX), yet never seen a F50. Where has it been spotted?
Supposedly in a shop in downtown Ogden. There's more to it than that, but for security reasons, I guess I can't say more. Wish I could see it for myself and get some pictures! That wasn't your NSX at Smith's the other day, was it?
My last post was deleted when the sever was upgraded so I'll try again. I saw another IS-F and a black series CLK on state street in Lindon a few days ago.
My Dad called me today and said he saw a line of about 15 cars coming out of Provo Canyon turning right onto 8th North in Orem. He wanted to know if it was me, said there was a red Ferrari in the lead. Question #1 Who was it? Question #2 Why wasn't I invited..
